Apart from being a stunning actress, Deepika is a businesswoman. It was back in 2022 when she launched her skincare brand, 82 Degree East and received backlash for the pricing of her products. And now, finally, Deepika reacted to the same.
In a candid conversation with CNBC-TV 18, Deepika Padukone opened up about her skincare brand, 82 Degree East. Talking about the same, the actress reacted to the hate she received for the high price of her products. Giving a befitting reply to the haters, the gorgeousness mentioned that if she is selling a product at a certain price, she is using that product in her everyday life. In her words:

"If I am selling you a Rs. 2,500 product, then rest assured I am also using it everyday."

For the unversed, Deepika's skincare brand, 82E, sells a 15 ml under-eye cream, which is priced at Rs. 2,400. And the cream is also the most expensive product on her website. Reflecting on the hate that her brand received for the high price of the products, Deepika mentioned that they have been able to survive in the market because of their consistency. Elaborating more about it, the actress said:
"The way we have been able to do that is be consistent and true to who we are. That's how we have been able to grow a successful brand in the past one year and we will continue to do that."
Further, in the same conversation, Deepika opened up about getting trolled and stated that it is part of being a celebrity. The actress mentioned celebrity brands receive backlash but the key to keep going is to put your head down and continue with your work. Elaborating more about it, Deepika said:
"And as far celebrity brands or celebrities in general getting backlash or getting trolled, it's a part of what we do and I think as long as you put your head down and you keep going, as long as you true and honest to what you do, I think you will always moves ahead of the tide."

Deepika further added that she is the first one to try every product that gets made. Mentioning that even before the clinical trials, the products come to her. Deepika stated that only after she approved the product it moved ahead to the next stage. In her words:
"I am the guinea pig. I am absolutely the first one in the system to try out anything, even before it goes into clinical trials or dermatological trials. I try them first. I try them for at least a week if not more; sometimes it goes on for a couple of months depending on what my feedback is, and then when I give a green signal is when it goes into clinical trials."
For the unversed, in November 2022, Deepika Padukone launched her self-care brand, 82E. Soon after the actress launched her product, she started receiving backlash for the high pricing of the products. Reacting to the same, one X user (previously known as Twitter) wrote, "Deepika launched her skincare range and the two products are expensive and may be unaffordable to majority of the people. Katrina did a better job. Not only her products are good but also affordable." Another one tweeted, "deepika's skincare brand is unserious of sofhxxkh what is the targeted audience because girl aint nobody paying 2700 for 50 ml of moisture when korean skincare is so accessible, affordable and effective."
