This decision is being reported to have come after the actress made some really odd demands for the filming. According to multiple reports, Sandeep Reddy Vanga removed Deepika Padukone from the project after persistent clashes with the actress over her demands, which were deemed 'unprofessional' by insiders.

If the reports are to be believed, Deepika Padukone requested an 8-hour workday, which reportedly would have translated to approx 6 hours of actual shoot time. She further demanded a hefty remuneration along with a percentage of the film's profits. Some insiders have further claimed that Deepika also refused to deliver her dialogues in Telugu. Another wrote, "Naah. This is not about money (She was paid 20 Cr for Kalki, and Spirit ka BO prediction is solid.) This is not about Telugu dialogues, either. She mouthed Telugu in Kalki (Shobhita dubbed)." A comment read, "Vanga's films never had meaty female roles or proper character sketches of the heroine having a backbone. It was stupid of DP to even agree to do his films. That man reeks of toxicity."
