Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their first child, who will arrive in September 2024. The duo, who got married in 2018, has often been questioned about their family planning. While they continued focusing on their respective careers, their desire to embrace parenthood was quite visible. And now that Deepika and Ranveer are going to be parents, let's have a look at one of their old interviews, wherein they talked about their wish to have babies.
Earlier, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, Deepika Padukone was asked about her backup plans if she had not become an actress in her life. Responding to the same, the Pathaan actress said that she would have been enjoying her life with her family and would love to be with children. Deepika also expressed her wish to have three kids and added:
“If I was not an actor I don’t know what I would have been doing. But hopefully with some children around. Three little kids, scuttling about. Hopefully, be working enough to take them to shoots. Have a happy family. And at the same time, still doing what I am doing.”

Once, in a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Ranveer Singh also opened up about his plans to embrace parenthood and shared that he would like to have kids soon. The Ram Leela actor was also asked if he wanted a girl or a boy. Responding to the same, the actor shared that he would like to have feminine energy around him and said:
“I would much rather have a daughter. I think they’re so much nicer, kinder, more intelligent, more involved. I much prefer the feminine energy.”
Ranveer Singh fell in love with the ever-so-gorgeous actress, Deepika Padukone in 2012, during the making of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, Ram-Leela. Soon, he made Deepika fall in love with him, and the couple started dating each other. After six years of being in a relationship, Ranveer and Deepika took their wedding vows on November 14-15, 2018, in a destination wedding at Lake Como, Italy. On February 29, 2024, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh took to their respective IG handles and shared a collaborative post to announce their 'good news'. The couple left their entire fanbase into a meltdown as they revealed that they are going to be parents soon. The photo featured cute drawings of baby stuff, including a bib, shoes, hat, button and clothes. Atop the picture, the couple penned a note and revealed that their baby will arrive in this world in September 2024.
