Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got married back in 2018 at a dreamy wedding soiree in Lake Como, Italy. The close-knit ceremony witnessed everything that was the amalgamation of sophistication and grandeur. The couple is now counting the days to hold their first child in their arms. For the uninitiated, Deepika and Ranveer announced the 'good news' in February 2024, and the actress' due date is in September 2024. Ahead of the same, celebrity mehendi artist, Veena Nagda shared some unheard anecdotes from Deepika and Ranveer's wedding.

Veena Nagda reveals she was from the then-bride, Deepika Padukone's side as she attended her wedding

Veena Nagda is a famous celebrity mehendi artist, and she often decks up the actress-brides' hands with henna on their big days. Well, in a recent interview with Bollywood Now, she shared that Deepika and Ranveer had booked her for their five-day-long wedding soiree and made full payment despite the mehendi ceremony being only a one-day festivity. She praised Deepika and revealed that the actress had promised her during the shoot of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, that she would design her mehendi on her wedding, and she kept it.

Veena Nagda mentioned that when the mehendi ceremony began, Ranveer called her 'Queen' and added, 'Ek queen dusri queen ko mehendi laga rahi hai'. Veena said she could never forget that phrase, and it was special. She called Ranveer, just like her son, and revealed they had a lot of fun recently at the Ambani wedding.

Talking about Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's mehendi ceremony, Veenga Nagda shared how the actress loves mehendi, and was sitting in the biting cold with her hands and feet being decked in henna. She shared that Deepika also wanted the dark colour, and she followed every trick to get the same. Deepika also danced only after her mehendi was dry, as she didn't want to spoil it. Veena said:

"When I did Deepika’s mehendi, it was so cold, but she got it all done on her hands and feet. She did everything to get the dark colour of the mehendi. Deepika only went to dance after her mehendi was a little dry because she didn’t want to spoil it.”

Talking about Ranveer Singh, Veena remarked that first, the actor wanted to do his mehendi in the design of a tiger because his movie, Simba, was about to come. Well, later, he changed his mind and clad his hand with his wifey's name, followed by three stars. She shared:

"First, Ranveer said that I will get a tiger in my mehendi because Simmba was going to come. Then he changed his mind and said ‘I want DP’s name in my mehendi’."

How much does Veena Nagda charge for designing artists' hands with heena on their wedding?

Veena Nagda is one of the sought-after mehendi artists in Bollywood as of now, and she decked up the celebrity brides, on their special day, including, the Ambani ladies, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Kharbanda, Natasa Dalal, Katrina Kaif, among so many others. In an interview with Jagran TV, Veena was asked about her charges, and she revealed the same. 

The mehendi artist mentioned that her normal charges for brides run from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 7,000 for both the hands and feet, and for guests, it is between Rs. 50-75. When asked about her charges from celebrities, Veena shared that she doesn't charge anything from them, and it solely depends on what they want to pay her. Veena could be quoted as saying:

"As for my normal charges, for the bride, it starts from Rs 3,000 to 7,000 rupees, and includes both hands and feet. For guests, it is Rs 50 to Rs 75 per hand. I don’t charge for celebrity weddings. They pay me according to their wishes and it has always been more than expected.”
