Now, as Alia extended her support for her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, by donning his image-printed t-shirt, her look has been compared to Deepika, who donned Ranveer Singh's picture-caricatured jacket earlier.
On November 30, 2023, Alia Bhatt was seen flaunting Ranbir Kapoor's image-caricatured t-shirt, when she arrived at the special premiere of his just-released film, Animal. Soon, a fan page of Deepika Padukone reshared Alia's video from the event alongside the Piku fame's glimpses donning Ranveer Singh's face-printed jacket at Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani's premiere. In the video, both the leading actresses looked stunning while donning those customised attires. However, while sharing the video, atop it, the fan page wrote:
"Alia Copies Deepika."

As soon as the video was uploaded, netizens not only compared Deepika's look for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani's premiere with that of Alia from the Animal special preview event. While many netizens called Alia a 'copycat', the two divas' fans also started a series of discussions on who began the trend of wearing their husband's image-caricatured outfits. One comment read, "Alia breathes oxygen,drinks water, eat food. Meanwhile, cheepika fans : alia copies deepika." Another netizen mentioned, "Alia did it for Shamshera way before but Alia fans didn't go barking on Deepika's posts when she copied Alia lol. Your obsession is unreal."

This isn't the first time Alia got bashed for opting for something similar to Deepika's style. Earlier, on May 14, 2023, Alia was papped at the Mumbai airport while jetting off to Seoul to attend an event after being appointed as the global ambassador of the luxury brand, Gucci. The diva donned a white top with loose denim pants along with a long denim overcoat. However, as soon as her pictures were shared on social media, netizens started comparing her look with Deepika.

In addition, the actress shared glimpses of what was happening backstage. However, people started bombarding the comment section with hate comments. A comment among others can be read as, "Why are you posting so-called Oscar pic and sharing a Met Gala look just before Alia's Met Gala debut?" Another user called it "Insecurity."
