'Delhi Crime' Season 3 Ending Explained, Was 'DCP Vartika' Able To Defeat 'Badi Didi' Revealed?

After two seasons of solving some of the most gruesome crimes of the nation's capital, 'DCP Vartika' a.k.a 'Madam Sir' is back on screens again with Delhi Crime Season 3. This time, 'Madam Sir' has an adversary as intense and powerful as her, but completely inhumane, known as 'Badi Didi'. In the quest to save young girls from the clutches of the monster, what happened at the end of Delhi Crime Season 3? Here's the ending explained. 

Delhi Crime Season 3 ending: 'DCP Vartika' and 'Badi Didi' face off in the climax

After five episodes of chasing every clue and turning Delhi on its head to locate 'Badi Didi', the head of a racket, 'DCP Vartika' finally catches her in the sixth episode, which is also the last one. The two women who are on opposite ends of the law come face to face with each other. The 'DCP' has her gun aimed at 'Badi Didi', however, the latter doesn't think that she is going to be shot. She asks 'Madam sir', "Mere pe goli chalavegi". To this, 'Vartika' replies, "Jo sahi hoga, wahi karungi". 

Who dies at the end of Delhi Crime Season 3? 

Spoiler alert! There is a death of a very important character at the end of the season. While facing the police officer, 'Badi Didi', whose real name is revealed to be 'Meena', opens up about her own life filled with pain and oppression. 'Meena' reveals that as soon as she and her twin sister were born, their grandmother tried to kill them. She survived, but her sister did not. Along the way, her life as a woman was riddled with hardships. 'Meena' was forced to marry a man who tortured her mercilessly. At the end, 'Meena' turned 'Badi Didi' justifies her own crimes against young girls, citing that she was exploited as well. However, 'DCP Vartika' doesn't let her go and shoots her instead, leading to her death. She brings justice to Delhi once again. 

Delhi Crime Season 3 cast

Shefali Shah has carried the three seasons of Delhi Crime on her shoulders with her portrayal of 'DCP Vartika Chaturvedi', also called 'Madam Sir' by her loyal fellow police officers. Rajesh Tailang as 'Inspector Bhupendra Singh' and Rasika Duggal as 'IPS Neeti Singh' are also recurring characters on the series. Meanwhile, Huma Qureshi joined the starcast as 'Badi Didi', the antagonist of Season 3. Sayani Gupta also appears in a supporting role for the third season. 

The Delhi Crime series has been written and directed by Richie Mehta. It has been co-produced by Film Karavan, Vipin Agnihotri, Poor Man's Productions, Golden Karavan, and Ivanhoe Productions. The third season of Delhi Crime is loosely based on the Baby Falak case, while the second one was inspired by the crimes of the Kacchha Baniyan gang. The first season, which won an Indian show its first-ever International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series, was based on the 2012 Nirbhaya case.
