'Delhi Crime Season 3' Review, Shefali Shah And Huma Qureshi's Hard-Hitting Story Loses Pace At End

Delhi Crime is a popular Netflix show, which was first premiered in 2019, and soon it became one of the most talked-about crime shows. Well, after two powerful seasons, the show has returned with Season 3, which was released on November 13, 2025. Read on to know the review of Delhi Crime Season 3, directed by Tanuj Chopra.

The Plotline of Delhi Crime Season 3

Delhi Crime Season 3 is a fictional story inspired by real and spine-chilling incidents of human trafficking. The central plot of the show is about a gang, who transports young girls from Northeast and North India, to sell them or exploit them. Delhi Crime Season 3 opens with 'DCP Vartika Chaturvedi' (Shefali Shah), who is now in Silchar, Assam. The show picks up pace, when she discovers a van full of girls and even before she realises, 'Vartika' finds herself in the middle of a huge human trafficking network, which is led by 'Badi Didi' (Huma Qureshi).

Delhi Crime Season 3 ends with a week finale episode

Delhi Crime Season 3 features six episodes, which are beautifully written and directed by the makers. The best part about the writing and making of the show is that the creators focused on keeping the story simple and real. The show doesn't include any unnecessary violence or disturbing visuals. Rather than showing everything, the show explains what happened. This helps viewers focus more on the story.

Even though, the makers built a good impact till the end, the finale episode couldn't do justice to it. The last episode spends a lot of time explaining the actions of the villain, which feels forced and unnecessary. Viewers may also feel that the characters are trying too hard to explain their feelings.

Huma

Shefali Shah is the heart of the show, Delhi Crime Season 3

Like the previous two seasons, this time as well, Shefali Shah shines with her powerful acting as ‘DCP Vartika’. In the show, Shefali perfectly manages to show the struggles of a police officer, who understands the faults in the system, but still refuses to give up. Throughout the show, viewers can feel the tension she is going through while taking a tough decision. Apart from her, Huma Qureshi as 'Badi Didi' shows the cruelty of her character without ever overacting. Her character sees people as things, that can be used for power and Huma does full justice to it. All the other supporting characters also add an important layer and depth to the story.

Delhi Crime Season 3 fails to outshine Season 1

Despite giving a strong and impactful story, Delhi Crime Season 3 fails to outshine the first season. For those who don't know, Season 1 had a much stronger impact as it made the audience question a lot of things. Viewers can miss that feeling in this season. Apart from this, some smaller storylines, like the personal life of 'Vartika' are not given much screentime, which eventually looks incomplete.

Final Verdict: Is Delhi Crime Season 3 worth watching?

Even though, Delhi Crime Season 3 doesn't bring something completely new, it doesn't even lose its legacy and essence. The six-episode show is a strong continuation of the series that has always put out dark truths. Shefali Shah and Huma Qureshi's powerful acting makes the show watchable. But if you are expecting the same and intense impact of Season 1, then you might be disappointed. Other than that, Delhi Crime Season 3 is definitely worth watching.
