Famous Hollywood actor, Dermot Mulroney is going through a hard time in his personal life, as reports claimed that he has filed for divorce from his wife, Prima Apollinaare after 15 years of their marriage. The couple started dating in 2008, and in 2010, they got married. Dermot and Prima are parents to two beautiful daughters, Mabel Ray and Sally June. For the unversed, this is Dermot's second divorce. Previously, he got married to Catherine Keener in 1990 and got divorced in 2007. The ex-couple has a son, Clyde Keener Mulroney. Amid this let's know about Prima.
Prima Apollinaare was born in Milan, Italy, in 1973 to Emy Cesaroni, an actress and singer, and Franco Catulle. Being born in a creative background, from an early age, she was exposed to music. She has always mentioned that music was her passion, and it was possibly formed due to her mom's love for music and a brilliant career in the same field. She was exposed to arts from and early age, and started her career in Italy before she shited her base to the US. She was born as Tharita Cesaroni, but in 2015, she changed her name to Prima Apollinaare, for the reasons best known to her.
Apart from being a singer and songwriter, she has also tried her hand in film producing and cinematography as well. Her debut was with the first single, Stand Up For Love. Her much-loved songs, I Took and Dancing With Fire showcase her skills to the best. She also reportedly assisted Dermot in a project that he was set to direct in 2010.
If a report by People is to be believed, Dermot Mulroney has filed for divorce a few days ago, and cited that it was due to their 'irreconcilable differences'. Reportedly, he and his estranged wife, Prima have asked for joint physical and legal custody of their daughters. The divorce has just been filed and not finalised yet, nor has the date of their separation been set.
A report by People also claimed that Dermot decided to handle the case on his own, and he has asked for spousal support, while he has requested the court not to give that support to Prima. However, other sources mentioned that neither of them asked for spousal support, and neither of them has denied the same. The sources also shared that they were probably asked by the lawyers to present their paperwork in that confusing way for formality.

As everyone has been wondering whether there might be an issue with Dermot asking the court not to give spousal support to Prima, a report by EW revealed the possible reason behind this. A source told EW that none of them are arguing for money or kids, and they used mediators and not lawyers to file the divorce. The source also revealed that the matter of spousal support might have created confusion, but the couple is friends, and their decision to part ways has been an amicable one. The source can be quoted as saying:
"No one is asking for anything, and no one is denying anything. They are not arguing over the children nor money. They used mediators, not lawyers, as they are friends and this is amicable. They were advised to file this way which seems to have caused media confusion."
It was one year after Dermot Mulroney's split from his first wife that he started dating Prima, and in the same year, the couple welcomed their first daughter. Shortly after that, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Sally. Followed by the same, and they got married in 2010. It was music which connected the duo. Dermot is not only an actor, but also a professional cellist, which could be witnessed in Planet of the Apes, and even in the Mission: Impossible franchise. Talking about Prima, she is a singer and a songwriter. She is from Italy, and music has always been her passion.
