Late legendary actor, Dharamdev Pishorimal Anand a.k.a., Dev Anand is one of the greatest actors of all-time, and there's no doubt in saying the much-known fact that there will be no one like him ever, forever. If you still think, it's an over-exaggeration of his legacy then maybe you are unaware of the fact that he was banned from wearing black clothes by the court after the release of his evergreen film, Kala Pani. Because the young girls would jump-off from the buildings just to have a glance of him, such was his craze and stardom.

While on the professional front, he hadn't suffered a lot of big hiccups, it was his personal life that had gone through a major emotional turmoil, when he and his first love, Suraiya were separated because of religious differences by her grandmother. However, the actor had moved on in life and had found love again in actress, Kalpana Kartik.
Recently, we stumbled across a rare picture of the late legendary couple, Dev Anand and Kalpana Kartik from their golden days and it brings back all the golden memories of the past right in front of me. In the iconic autographed picture, Dev Anand sahab looked breathtakingly handsome in his outfit, but it is his trademark smile that makes us fall in love with this Jewel Raja all over again. On the other side, Kalpana ji donned a purple coloured dress, and it has proved the mettle of her beauty again. Both Kalpana ji and Dev sahab had fallen head-over-heels in love with each other during the filming of their film, Baazi and even on the big screen, their jodi had won everyone's hearts. After which the duo had worked in five more movies, Aandhiyan, Humsafar, Taxi Driver, House No. 44, and Nau Do Gyarah, and had cemented their place as one of the most loved jodis of all-time. However, not a lot of people are aware of the fact that Dev sahab and Kalpana ji had gotten married during one of the breaks between the filming of their movie.
The late legendary actor had recalled the incident in his interview with Simi Garewal and had said, "She was beautiful, bubbly, naughty and educated. We fell in love with each other on the sets of Baazi and decided to get married secretly. Why? Because isn't marriage a very personal affair? We had planned that we'd get married and will not tell anybody and then we'll throw a reception. We were shooting on the sets of Taxi Driver. I had the ring in my pocket. We had asked the registrar to come there. In between the breaks when the lighting was being done on the sets, I signalled to her, we went into our departmental room, got married and came back."
