Bengali Actor, Dev Is Getting Married To Rukmini Maitra, Shares Mehendi Pictures With Her

Famous Bengali actor and producer, Dev is all set to get married. Well, this is what it looks like, and his bride is none other than popular actress, Rukmini Maitra. For the unversed, the two are the most celebrated on-screen couples of Bengali cinema. They always made headlines due to their hit films, and many believed they were in love.

On March 18, 2026, Dev and Rukmini left many in shock with the biggest surprise. The couple was seen posing together from their mehendi ceremony, leaving many in shock. The two shared the collaborative post on Instagram. In the first photo, Dev and Rukmini were together flaunting their mehendi. While Dev opted for a small mandala design, Rukmini chose an intricate one in a bel-style. 

For the unversed, Dev and Rukmini opted for casual ensembles and didn't pick any festive outfits. Dev looked handsome in a black-hued t-shirt. On the other hand, his bride, Rukmini, was dressed up in a white-hued oversized shirt with a pair of jeans. She ditched the makeup. In another photo, Dev was getting his mehendi while Rukmini was sitting right beside him. In one of the photos, Dev was looking in awe at Rukmini, and in the last one, she was seen candidly laughing with him. Sharing the post, he wrote in Bengali, "Emni.." Followed by an evil eye protection emoji and a heart emoji. When we translated the word it meant, 'Like That'.

"I’ve been independent all my life, mentally and financially. I’ve built my own name. Of course, when your hard work gets overshadowed by someone else’s name, it rattles you initially. But over time, I realised I must choose peace above everything. Staying steady when things are uncertain is real peace. When there’s noise, I focus on my calm. Not everything needs a response. When another actress works repeatedly with a director, no one questions it. But I’m questioned. I work with different directors each time, so why should I explain myself to people shouting on social media? A hundred years from now, my films will stay, not this digital noise."
