Devoleena Bhattacharjee is one of the most renowned names in the entertainment industry. She gained widespread fame and recognition for her role as 'Gopi Bahu' in Star Network's popular TV series, Saath Nibhana Saathiya and its spinoffs. Apart from this, the diva also participated in India's most controversial reality show, Bigg Boss, not once but thrice. However, did you know that Devoleena has also been a part of another famous Indian dance reality show?
Only a few know that Devoleena Bhattacharjee is a trained classical dancer and that she first wanted to be a dancer rather than an actress. The Saath Nibhana Saathiya actress once auditioned for the popular dancing reality show, Dance India Dance, judged by Geeta Kapur, Terence Lewis and Remo D'souza. For the audition, Devoleena did a classical dance performance in an orange-hued saree with a blue blouse and golden work on it. She accessorised her look with earrings and bindi and tied her hair in a bun with an attached gajra .

The judges were mighty impressed with her performance, and Geeta Kapur praised the actress for her expressions. The others, too, were sold on her performance and gave her the 'kismat ki topi', a hat given to the contestants as a reward for clearing the first round. Hearing that she had cleared the auditions, Devoleena screamed and jumped in joy and even tightly hugged Geeta Kapur.

On the personal front, Devoleena Bhattacharjee made the headlines in December 2022 for tying the knot with Shahnawaz Sheikh, a gym trainer and certified nutritionist by profession. According to media reports, their love blossomed when he stood by her side when she was at her all-time low and very ill. The couple faced a lot of criticism from netizens, who mocked them for marrying outside of their religion.

On the professional front, Devoleena's dedication to her craft is palpable. Her last appearance in the serial, Dil Diyaan Gallaan, in which she showcased her finesse in portraying the character of 'Disha Dungarpal'. Now, all eyes are on her next venture, the eagerly awaited movie, Bengal 1947. The anticipation for this project is a clear reflection of her growing popularity and the audience's excitement to see her in action again.
