Dhanashree Verma Reveals She And Yuzi Are In Touch After Divorce, Says, 'He Used To Call Me Maa'

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal grabbed all the attention with their personal life. The duo got married in December 2022, and by March 2025, they parted ways. The exact reason for their split is not yet known, but Dhanashree and Yuzi have discussed the tough phase of their lives, followed by their divorce from one another. Recently, Dhanashree, in a conversation with Farah Khan on her blog, discussed the challenges she faced in her career due to being married to a cricketer. She also revealed whether she is still in touch with her ex-husband.

During her conversation with Farah Khan on her vlog, Dhanashree was asked if she had faced any difficulties in her career due to being married to Yuzvendra Chahal. To this, the dancer said that it actually became very difficult as she had to travel from Gurgaon to Mumbai. She shared that it was difficult, but her mom had taught her that she had to put effort into a marriage, and for the same reason, she continued to do the same. Stating that she has given her one hundred per cent in this relationship, Dhanashree said:

"To be honest, ma’am, it does become difficult because I had to travel. There, I had to go to Gurgaon also, then come back to Mumbai and pick things again. So it was difficult but my mom has taught me that you have to do it. So, I know that I have given my hundred percent."

During the same conversation, Dhanashree Verma shared that it was a tough phase when she got divorced from Yuzi, and what was even more painful was the behaviour of the public, which caused her parents to get hurt. The dancer further revealed that she is in touch with Yuzvendra Chahal, and they are connected through text messages. Dhanashree also said that she and Yuzi have both moved on gracefully, and now they wish each other well. The dancer further revealed that she is in touch with her ex-husband and recalled how he used to call her 'maa'. Mentioning that Yuzi is sweet, Dhanashree stated:

"Both have accepted everything gracefully, and moved on, and now we wish well for each other. I am in touch with Yuzi also on messages. He used to call me maa, he is sweet only."

It was on their divorce day that Dhanashree and Yuzi were spotted arriving at the court. Yuzi's t-shirt instantly became the talk of the town, bearing a message that read, 'Be your own sugar daddy.' Such a t-shirt, during the gossip about Dhanashree claiming crores of alimony, went instantly viral. When asked about the same, Yuzi said that he wanted to share a message only.

Later, Dhanashree was asked about the same during a recent interview, and the dancer expressed her disappointment. She revealed that even though she was mentally prepared for the divorce, when it was officiated, she broke down. When she later found out about Yuzi's t-shirt, she stopped crying in shock. The interviewer said that Yuzi revealed that he wanted to give a message. To this, Dhanashree shared that he could have messaged her on WhatsApp rather than doing what he did.
