When Yuzi Chahal Proposed Marriage To Dhanashree After 2 Months Of Dance Training, 'Chakka Maar..'

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma reportedly opted for separation. The Indian cricketer got married to the influencer and choreographer on December 22, 2020. Within four years of their marriage, tensions cropped up, reportedly. Their divorce was finalised at Bandra Court in Mumbai. The pair had met during the COVID-19-induced lockdown, and there was a time when Dhanashree revealed how Yuzi proposed to her after taking two months of dance training.

When Dhanashree Verma spoke about Yuzvendra Chahal's marriage proposal to her

According to a News 18 report, Yuzi and Dhanashree met during the lockdown when the cricketer took her dance lessons. It was in 2024 when Dhanashree came on the sets of the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 and shared how Yuzi had proposed to her when she completed two months of dance training with him. Dhanashree was left stunned and shared that cricket matches did not occur during the national lockdown. Cricketers were at home and were frustrated. It was then that Yuzi wanted to learn dance as he had seen her dance videos on social media. In her words:

"I used to teach dance and he approached me to be my student. I agreed to teach him. It was a very professional student-teacher relationship, I want to make it very clear. Suddenly after two months he directly proposed to me for marriage. Woh batting karte bhi nahi but unhone chakka maar diya direct."

Dhanashree added that when Yuzi had taken two months of dance training, she had made him a brilliant dancer. The choreographer was shocked when she processed the information and told her mother about it. Dhanashree said that the first thing her mom told her was, "Gaya tera student". She claimed to be a very professional teacher. The spinner and Dhanashree had a Hindu marriage ceremony at Gurugram in December 2020. Yuzi had also shared the now-deleted wedding pictures with the caption:

"We started at 'Once Upon A Time' and found 'Our Happily Ever After' coz' finally #DhanaSaidYuz for infinity and beyond!"

Dhanashree, for her engagement ceremony, had worn a pink-hued Tarun Tahiliani lehenga, while Yuzi was seen in a blue kurta that had a pink embroidered jacket. Their haldi ceremony was fun-filled as the pair who was once in love with one another twinned together in yellow. Dhanashree had worn a yellow lehenga while Yuzi had worn a golden kurta teamed with a white pyjama.

The reportedly former couple had a fairy tale wedding. Dhanashree looked ethereal in a red lehenga from the shelf of Tarun Tahiliani and looked gorgeous. Well on the other hand, Yuzi had worn an embroidered sherwani and the entire wedding venue was soaked in shades of red, ivory with crystals. However, sadly, the pair reportedly have been staying away for 18 months, and as per an ABP News report, the divorce proceedings were completed at Bandra Family Court. Before their reported divorce proceeding was finalised, Dhanashree and Yuzi had shared cryptic posts on God. The pair has not yet given an official confirmation of the divorce.
