One of the finest actors of this generation, Venkatesh Prabhu, a.k.a. Dhanush, is one of the most successful actors in the South Indian film industry and has also made a mark in the Hindi film industry after his outstanding performance in the blockbuster film, Raanjhanaa. Furthermore, Dhanush will soon make his Hollywood debut with the critically acclaimed director duo, Russo Brothers in their upcoming film, The Gray Man. The actor will be seen teaming up with popular Hollywood celebrities like Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Ryan Gosling, and others.
While on the professional front, Dhanush is riding high, the actor had suffered a major blow in his personal life earlier this year. For the unversed, Dhanush was married to Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth, who is the daughter of the legendary superstar, Rajinikanth and is a film producer herself. Dhanush and Aishwaryaa had got married in the year 2004 and are blessed with two sons, Yatra Raja (15-year-old) and Linga Raja (10-year-old). However, the couple had announced their separation in January 2022 and had left everyone shocked.
Once again, Dhanush is in the headlines, courtesy of new trouble in his personal life, after a Madurai-based husband and wife had claimed a few days ago that the Maari 2 actor is their biological son. The claim had shocked the entire film industry, and now Dhanush and his father, Kasthuri Raja have sent a legal notice to the couple. In the notice, Dhanush mentioned that his birth parents are Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi and warned the couple not to make such remarks about the actor's family in the future. The notice was sent to the Madurai couple through Dhanush and Kasthuri Raja's advocate, S Haja Mohideen Gisthi. The notice can be read as:
"My clients hereby call upon you both to desist from making false, untenable and defamatory allegations against them henceforth. Failing compliance my clients will be constrained to approach the competent Courts to protect their rights in this regard and to prevent you from carrying on and making such false, untenable and defamatory allegations against them and you both will also be prosecuted for causing defamation and consequent loss of their reputation."
Going further in the legal notice, Dhanush and his father, Kasthuri Raja also asked the couple, who claimed to be the former's biological parents, to issue a statement in the press about their false claims. Moreover, the father-son duo also warned the couple that if they failed to issue a public apology, they'd file for a compensation of Rs. 10 crores for damaging their family's reputation. The notice further stated:
"Failing compliance, my clients will be constrained to approach the competent courts to protect their rights. My clients are further calling upon you to issue a press statement saying that you made false allegations. If you fail to do so, my clients will initiate civil and criminal procedures and will demand a sum of Rs.10 crores towards compensation for causing damage to the reputations of my clients."
In an interview with a Tamil newspaper, Dailythanthi, Dhanush's father, Kasthuri Raja had opened up about his son's separation from his wife, Aishwarya Rajinikanth a 'family quarrel'. He had also quashed the reports of their divorce and had shared some more details about the estranged couple. He had said:
"Dhanush and Aishwarya are having a family quarrel just like how a normal husband and wife do which does not mean the end. I spoke to both of them over the phone and gave them some advice."
On the professional front, Dhanush was last seen in the Hindi film, Atrangi Re, opposite Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar.
