Sholay's 'Veeru', Dharmendra was discharged from Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on November 12, 2025. It was on October 31, 2025, when Dharmendra was admitted after he complained of breathlessness. He was then reportedly taken to the hospital for a routine checkup. Now, for a few days, fake death news reports related to the actor have circulated on social media. Now, the question is whether Dharmendra was taken home as his first wife, Prakash Kaur, wanted him to return?
Dharmendra was reportedly being taken care of by Dr Pratit Samdani at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. The doctor, in a recent interview with journalist Vickey Lalwani, shared that Dharmendra's first wife, Prakash Kaur, along with his sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol, wanted the actor back home. Prakash wanted Dharmendra to come back and spend time at the house. Dr Pratit Samdani shared:
"Clearly, for some reason, both brothers and their mother Prakash wanted Dharmendra to return to where he belongs and be with them where he has spent a major part of his life. Yours truly stands by the Deols in their hour of crisis and prays to the Almighty that Dharam ji’s health is back on track."

For a couple of days, scary rumours about Dharmendra's demise circulated on social media. Dharmendra's doctor also shared that Sunny, Bobby and also the other family members were making all the arrangements and precautions to make their father feel comfortable during his course of treatment. Dharmendra's family had earlier asked the Breach Candy Hospital if he was allowed to be taken home. The Sholay star came back to his Juhu bungalow, and his discharge news stunned everyone. Dr Pratit Samdani earlier in a media statement, had shared:
"Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital around 7.30 am. He will be treated at home as the family has decided to give him treatment at home."

For the past three days, Dharmendra's health has been reported to be very fragile, but his doctor requested everyone to refrain from any kind of speculation. From reports of the actor being on a ventilator to 'Rest in peace' posts circulating, there were death hoax news reports related to the actor. Dharmendra's family had earlier released an official statement requesting the privacy of the family and shared:
"Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”

Reports related to Dharmendra being on a ventilator as his health was extremely critical were slammed by his second wife, Hema Malini. She had taken to X to shut down the rumours, issuing a strong statement against false news and calling it disrespectful. Her tweet read:

"What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”
Team BollywoodShaadis prays for a speedy recovery of Dharmendra.
