'Dharmendra Is Strong.. Would Open Eyes, Move Hands', Anil Sharma Recalls The Actor's Last Condition

Dharmendra, whose career in Bollywood spanned 65 years, contributed to more than 300 films in his lifetime. There's no denying the fact that Dharmendra has a global fanbase, who are now left upset, as the actor passed away at the age of 89. The actor bid farewell to the world on November 24, 2025. Only two weeks before the same, the actor was discharged from the Breach Candy Hospital. The actor's prayer meet will take place on November 27, 2025. And ahead of that, Hema Malini's emotional note left our hearts feeling for her. Now, filmmaker Anil Sharma revealed Dharmendra's last condition after he was discharged from the hospital.

Anil Sharma reveals Dharmendra's last condition

Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital for several days before he was discharged. During the time he was admitted to the hospital, reports suggested that the actor had passed away. However, there was no truth to the rumours. On November 24, 2025, an ambulance was seen outside Dharmendra's residence, and a while later, it was announced that the actor had passed away.

Now, Anil Sharma talked to Vickey Lalwani, as he revealed that the actor was recovering after he was discharged. Anil mentioned that he went to pay a visit to the actor at his home, and he would open his eyes and move his hands. Sharing that his doctors were even saying that he was a strong man, Anil Sharma added:

"I went to his home. He had recovered. He would open his eyes and even move his hands. He was recovering, and doctors were saying that Dharamji bahut strong aadmi hai."

Anil Sharma, in the same interview, revealed that the doctors even ensured that Dharmendra would recover, but the age had its own sign, with which the legendary actor couldn't fight any longer. Anil Sharma stated that the Deol family even planned to host a birthday party for Dharmendra on December 8, 2025. Anil Sharma can be quoted as saying:

"Doctors assured us he would recover, and even in the hospital, it looked like he would. But age shows its signs, and you can’t fight that. Everyone was hopeful, and we all thought we would celebrate his birthday on 8 December."

Hema Malini's emotional note about her husband's passing

On November 27, 2025, Hema Malini took to her social media handle and shared a post, wherein she expressed her grief about losing her husband, Dharmendra. She revealed that he would always be with her no matter what, and that her husband was an amazing dad to their daughters. She also talked about the legacy the actor left behind, while praising her late husband for the hard work he put into cementing his name in every block of Bollywood.

Hema Malini, in her emotional note, stated that she would continue to cherish every memory, and the vacuum that's now in her heart would never be filled. For the unversed, Dharmendra's prayer meet has been titled 'Celebration of Life' and it will be hosted on November 27, 2025, which will reportedly be attended by several celebrities, with Sonu Nigam taking the place to honour the legendary actor.
