Dharmendra Prayer Meet, Bobby Deol, Abhay Deol Arrive To Celebrate His Life, Sonu Nigam Will Perform

Dharmendra was born as a 'Dharam Singh Deol' in Punjab. He left his comfortable life to work in the film industry and became the king of it. Dharmendra would always be known as the angry young man. Despite being 89, he never showed the world that he was aging, as he was full of life. The actor passed away on November 24, 2025, leaving the entire nation in tears. Now, his family is paying respect to him during his prayer meet. 

Bobby Deol and family join Dharmendra's prayer meet

Prayer meet is the last procession after the death of a loved one in a family. On November 27, 2025, the Deol family hosted a prayer meet to pay respect to Dharmendra. The event was titled 'Celebration of Life', and several attendees paid their respects. We spotted Bobby Deol arriving for the prayer meet. However, he avoided the photographers. 

Not just the Deols, the prayer meet was also attended by Rekha, Sunita Ahuja, Malaika Arora, Jackie Shroff, Abhay Deol, Sidharth Malhotra, Suneil Shetty, and Karan Deol. But they all chose to avoid the media entirely, and their cars entered the venue straight away. It seems like the family is making sure to avoid unnecessary drama in the media. It is worth mentioning that Sonu Nigam will perform tribute songs for Dharmendra and the extraordinary life he lived.

Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai after health complications earlier this month. Soon, he was discharged, but reports claimed that his condition was critical and he was placed on a ventilator following breathing difficulties. But two days later, he was discharged from the hospital, and he passed away on November 24, 2025. His last rites were held in Mumbai amidst tight security. Several Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan, arrived to pay their respect. 

For the unversed, the family was extremely upset with a leaked video of the superstar surfaced on the internet after he had left the hospital. It showed Dharmendra lying on a hospital bed, and he was unconscious. It was a painful sight to watch as his first wife, Prakash Kaur, standing next to him, was crying and praying for the recovery of her husband. It was a painful glimpse as Sunny Deol went to his mother, hugged her, and tried to console her. 

After this, the Breach Candy Hospital arrested the employee who had recorded the private and extremely vulnerable moment of the Deol family for money and views. As soon as the heart-wrenching video was shared on social media, internet users slammed it, and several celebrities came forward to condemn the act in the name of updating their fans. It was clearly a breach of trust, and no one wants to see someone's extremely painful moments. 

Sunny Deol was also upset with the media's conduct during the sensitive time for his family. He was seen lashing out at the media. He was visibly upset with photographers stationed outside their home during extremely crucial times. First, with his folded hands, he requested that they not record them, as they should understand the family's state of mind.
