However, Salman has often unknowingly become part of many controversies, leading to harsh trolling. But no matter what, he never ceased living on his own terms. However, Salman's this kind of lifestyle is also loved by the legendary actor, Dharmendra. Proof of the same was found in one of the public appearances of Dharmendra at Salman's show.
A Reddit user shared a picture of Salman Khan along with the Sholay actor, Dharmendra. The picture was taken at a recent party attended by the two stars, and Salman was seen seated on a sofa set while holding Dharmendra's hand tightly. This proved the love they have for each other. While Salman opted for a casual black-hued t-shirt paired with denim pants, Dharmendra sported a printed shirt with a pair of jeans and a cap. However, the caption along with the picture read:
"Dharmendra considers Salman as his own son and more alike him."

As soon as the picture surfaced on the internet, it won hearts online. Moreover, netizens started pointing towards the old video, wherein Dharmendra mentioned that Salman Khan is more like him. Thus, one netizen commented, "I think Dharmendra has always been Salman’s role model, plus he did Sholay which was written by his father." Check out:

Soon, another netizen took to his/her Reddit handle and post-curating the old video featuring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Salman Khan, from one of the latter's shows, shared it. In the video, Dharmendra can be heard revealing how the Dabangg actor is more like him. He also mentioned that Salman's way of living his life was very similar to that of him during his younger days. Thus, he feels the similarity between him and Salman. In Dharmendra's words:
"Vaise toh iss nayi piri ke sabhi heroes mere bete jaise hai, bahut pyaar karta hu sabse par tum exception ho. Isiliye ke mere 70s-80s ki meri jindegi bahut milti jhulti hai tere saath, bahut bahut jyada, lagta hai ki hum niwala, hum pyala, hum...aur hota kya hai ki inn bechara ke liye ki hum aha bhi karte hai toh hojata hai badnam, wo katl bhi karte hai toh charche nhi hote. Mai bhi aese raha hu."
