Veteran actor, Dharmendra, 89, recently got discharged from Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. The actor was reportedly admitted for shortness of breath. Death hoax news started going viral, and "RIP Dharmendra" trended on social media. Dharmendra's wife, Parkash Kaur's private clip of breaking down, was also leaked. The Bollywood film fraternity has condemned the same, and Saif Ali Khan has strongly reacted to the same. He shared his experience when he lost his dad, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.

Saif Ali Khan remembers his family's ordeal amid Dharmendra's family's privacy being violated

Dharmendra's son, Sunny Deol, abused the paps who were stationed outside his home after Dharmendra was discharged from the hospital. During a candid chat with News 24 Online, Saif Ali Khan could draw parallels between the Deols' current situation and the trauma he had undergone when his dad, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was admitted to the hospital. Saif shared:

“We experienced a situation like this when Abba (father cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan) was in the hospital. We were constantly fobbing off unwanted attention while dealing with the crisis at hand. There should definitely be laws against such brutal violation of privacy."

Saif strongly felt that laws needed to be stricter regarding breaches of privacy. For the unversed, after Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy hospital, paps outside his house had covered the scenes aggressively. Every movement of the Deol family was aggressively covered. The Deol family was not at all left alone as the paps hounded over them. Dharmendra's team had shared that the actor was taken to the hospital for a routine checkup. His doctor, Pratit Samdani after the 'He Man' was discharged from the hospital, shared:

“Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital around 7.30 am. He will be treated at home as the family has decided to give him treatment at home.”

Saif Ali Khan also shared that families needed to be protected during medical emergencies. He did emphasise the fact that vulnerable moments are made private, and it is a brutal violation as families during grief are not protected. Dharmendra's team also released a statement, requesting that everyone not fall into any speculation. The note read:

"Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”

The hospital employee who leaked Dharmendra's video is being interrogated

A while back a video of Dharmendra seeming to look in a critical state, on a life support went viral on the social media. He was surrounded by his sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol, along with his grandson, Karan Deol. Prakash was in a miserable state, and reportedly, one of the hospital staff had shot the clip. Now, according to a News 18 report, the employee was arrested and the current update is that the hospital staff is being investigated. The clip had gone viral instantly on social media, and it breached the privacy of the family during a time of vulnerability, coupled with a lot of grief.
