Dharmendra's passing was extremely shocking for his millions of fans across the nation. He was the first superstar who made history by creating an image for himself, which was hard to break. Even after his demise, fans cannot believe that he is no more. The actor took his last breath on November 24, 2025, after struggling with health complications. He left behind a grand legacy and considerable wealth for his family. However, not many know that the ownership of Dharmendra's ancestral property is not with any of his children.
According to a recent report, none of Dharmendra's children from both his marriages own rights to his ancestral property in Punjab. The actor had already gifted it to his nephews. For the unversed, Dharmendra was born in Nasrali with his ancestral ties to Dango in Ludhiana, Punjab.

The late actor spent three years of his childhoor there and had a kaccha home made up of mud-and-brick home. The modest home, which holds the childhood of Dharmendra intact is now valued in crores and still stands intact, and it is his relatives who are taking care of it for over decades.

After Dharmendra moved to Mumbai to become a hero, he never left the soil of his birthland. According to reports, Dharmendra often visited his ancestral house during the shooting of one of this 2013 film. The villagers revealed that he got out of his car, bent down and touched the soil of his courtyard to his forehead and remained silent for several minutes. It is reported that in 2025, he formally completed the legal transfer of the ancestral land to the people who kept it safe in his absence.

As per a report in Dainik Bhaskar, Dharmendra had long ago given the property to his uncle's children. It was an act of responsibility which his father had handed to him. While Dharmendra gained a lot of wealth in Mumbai, he never forgot his love for his land. So, he decided to transfer the ancestral estate with nearly 2.5 acres of land to his uncle's grandson so that their future gets secured.

The property is estimated to be worth around Rs. 5 crore, and it is now with his nephews. One of his nephews, Boot Singh continues to work at a textile mill in Ludhiana. One of his relatives revealed that Dharmendra never thought about its value, for him it was a simple home extremely close to his heart.

Veteran actor, Dharmendra, whose real name was Dharm Singh Deol, had enjoyed superstardom. From being an 'angry young man' of the '70s, he went on to become the 'forever young man' of the country. However, he passed away on November 24, 2025. His passing left a deep void in the hearts, and many felt it a personal loss as they all could see their own family member in him. After his death, many wanted a state-level funeral for him, but the family chose to keep things private. However, they hosted a celebration of life for Dharmendra, but his second wife, Hema Malini and her daughters were not invited for the same.
