Dharmendra's Last Interview Before His Death Surfaces, Asks Fans To Watch 'Ikkis', 'Meri Ek Film...'

Bollywood's 'He-Man', Dharmendra's tragic death has left a major void in the film industry. Even though, he may not be with us, his warmth, love and words continue to touch the hearts of the audience. For the unversed, Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025. Recently, the late veteran actor made everyone emotional with his powerful performance in his last film, Ikkis. Well now, a clip from his last interview has resurfaced on social media. 

Dharmendra spoke about his film, Ikkis in his last interview

Recently, a clip from Dharmendra’s last interview before his passing went viral on social media. In the clip, the veteran actor is seen talking about his film, Ikkis. Dharmendra was seen requesting his fans to watch the film, directed by Sriram Raghavan as it is a very good movie. It is worth mentioning that Dharmendra’s last film, Ikkis was released on January 1, 2026. In the interview, Dharmendra was quoted as saying:

"Meri ek film aa rahi hai, Ikkis. Woh zaroor dekhiyega. Humaare Sriram (Raghavan) bohot achhe director hain. Inhone woh Johnny Gaddaar banayi thi. Yeh border ki picture hai. Lekin bohot touching bhi hai. Achhi, achhi, achhi film hai."

Dharmendra talks about the changes in the film industry

During the same interview, Dharmendra also spoke about the changes he has seen in the film industry ever since he has been working. It is worth mentioning that Dharmendra was in the industry for more than 6 decades. He has worked in more than 300 films. Talking about the changes, the veteran actor said:

"Jitna badlaav is zamane mein aaya hai, log kehte hain filmon ki wajah se aaya hai. Hum dekhte hain zamana badalta jaa raha hai, woh filmon se bhi aage ho raha hai. Matlab bohot si aisi cheezin jo hum filmon mein maa-baap ke saath baithkar nahi dekh sakte hain. Aaj kal, they make it very true picture and they are very good actors, all of them, they play very natural."

Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, is a war drama film, starring Dharmendra, Agastya Nanda, Simar Bhatia and more. The film tells the story of 'Arun Khetarpal', a young Indian Army officer, who had shown extraordinary courage on the battlefield despite challenges. After the release of the film, it received positive response from the audience. While some users called it an emotional and honest film, others missed Dharmendra.

Dharmendra was one of the most loved and respected actors in Bollywood. He made his film debut with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tera. Later, he appeared in iconic films like Seeta Aur Geeta, Sholay, Dost, Dream Girl, Fauji, Yamla Pagla Deewana and more. His tragic death on November 24, 2025, shocked the entire nation. He passed away at his Mumbai residence at the age of 89, just weeks before his 90th birthday. 

After the unfortunate incident, several fans, filmmakers and celebrities remembered him with a lot of love and warmth. Later, his two wives held separate prayer meets. One was organised by Prakash Kaur and children, Sunny and Bobby Deol. The other one was held by Hema Malini and daughter, Esha and Ahana Deol.
