'Dhurandhar 2' Teaser Not Attached To 'Border 2' Confirms Aditya Dhar, Says, 'Will Be Out In..'

Dhurandhar exceeded everyone's expectations in music, storyline, acting, direction, and even VFX. The film became the biggest hit of 2025 and has left fans on edge about its sequel. With approximately two months left before Dhurandhar 2's release, fans have been urging Aditya Dhar to release the teaser. And while the speculations were that it would be released during the screening of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty's Border 2, Aditya Dhar has now confirmed that the wait is not yet over.

Dhurandhar is a two-part tale, and while the first film featured visuals from the second, the makers have not yet released a separate promotional teaser for the sequel. Aditya Dhar has ensured that the details are tightly under wraps, to the extent that the title of the sequel has yet to be announced. While many expected the teaser or trailer for Dhurandhar 2 to accompany Border 2's theatrical prints, it has now been confirmed that this is not the case. 

On Friday, January 23, 2026, Dhurandhar's director, Aditya Dhar, took to his Instagram stories and replied to a fan who asked about the sequel's teaser. The director has become one of the most beloved, with fans of all ages appreciating his work. However, regarding the teaser, Aditya clarified that fans will have to wait a little longer. While the director did not commit to a date, it has been speculated that the teaser might be released on January 26, 2026. Aditya Dhar was quoted as saying:

"Teaser will be out in a few days!"

About Dhurandhar's craze among fans

The Ranveer Singh-starrer, Dhurandhar, was a 3-hour, 34-minute film. However, the audience could not look away from the screen for even a second. Despite its length, fans went gaga over it, and now they are waiting with bated breath for the sequel. The saga of 'Hamza Ali Mazari' aka 'Jaskirat Singh Rangi' has left fans completely enthralled, and they can't wait to see how Aditya Dhar will top the magic he created in part one with Dhurandhar 2, set to release on March 19, 2026. The first part of the film series did impeccable business at the box office, grossing over Rs. 1,300 crore worldwide.

Dhurandhar 2 has already become one of the most anticipated releases of 2026. Dhurandhar has already doubled the excitement and expectations for the sequel. Usually, films with two parts start shooting the second part after the release of the first, but that wasn't the case with the Ranveer Singh starrer, which was shot at once, allowing the makers to release the two films just three months apart. 

Additionally, Dhurandhar 2 will clash with Yash's Toxic, which is also releasing on the same date. While the prequel was released only in Hindi, the sequel will premiere across multiple languages. In the last few weeks, there have been reports that Vicky Kaushal's Uri character might appear in a cameo here, but the makers have not yet confirmed anything. It is also alleged that Akshaye Khanna, whose character died at the end of the first film, might be shooting additional flashback scenes for the sequel, but that has not been confirmed either.
