Aditya Dhar's movie, Dhurandhar is all set to be released on December 5, 2025. The movie features a stellar cast, including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Sanjay Dutt. Ahead of the release, the movie has been grabbing a whole lot of attention for several reasons. While reports have been rife that the movie will be based on a real-life story, Aditya Dhar dismissed the buzz, stating that the roles will be fictional, though inspired by the real-life personalities.
If the reports are to be believed, Sanjay Dutt's role in the movie will be inspired by Pakistan encounter specialist 'Chaudhary Aslam Khan'. While this sparked excitement among the fans, it also became a controversial moment as, reportedly, 'Chaudhary Aslam Khan's widow raised objections, claiming she would pursue legal remedies if the film misinterprets his image. Amid all this, let's know who the Pakistan encounter specialist 'Chaudhary Aslam Khan' was. Chaudhary Aslam Khan was a police officer from Karachi, Pakistan, who used to lead operations against criminals and terrorists.

Chaudhary Aslam Khan was from Mansehra district and joined the Police force in the 1980s. The reason that he took the name of 'Chaudhary' was due to the traditions associated with Punjabi landholders there. Chaudhary Aslam Khan was a part of several police operations back in the 1980s, which were being done due to the ethnic violence back then, especially involving the MQM. He also fought Karachi's underworld, and eventually was selected as the lead of the Lyari Task Force.

Lyari was a neighbouring place that used to be controlled by criminal gangs, and the government wanted to reduce the same, leading them to choose Chaudhary Aslam Khan as the leader. During this time, he was even arrested due to an encounter. However, he returned to the police eventually and then led an operation, where he killed 'Rahman Dakait', whose role will be played by Akshaye Khanna in the movie, although not as a biopic. Coming back to Chaudhary Aslam Khan, it was back in 2014, when he was killed in a suicide bombing during an operation.

If the reports are to be believed, Dhurandhar has a budget of Rs. 280 crore. Talking about the salary package, Ranveer reportedly received Rs. 30-50 crore, while Madhavan allegedly bagged Rs. 9 crore. Akshaye Khanna's alleged salary for Dhurandhar is reportedly Rs 2.5-3 crore, while Sunjay Dutt reportedly bagged Rs 8-10 crore. Sara Arjun and Arjun Rampal reportedly got an alleged salary of Rs. 1 crore each for their roles in the movie.
