Ranveer Singh's upcoming film, Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar has been facing a lot of hurdles a week before its release on December 5, 2025. A few days ago, late Major Mohit Sharma's parents had reached the Delhi High Court to file a petition against Dhurandhar and demanded an immediate stay. Now, the widow of a Karachi cop has raised questions on the film and threatened to take legal action against the makers.
Recently, Naureen Aslam, who is the wife of late Chaudhary Aslam, raised questions on the portrayal of her husband in the trailer of the film, Dhurandhar. For the unversed, Sanjay Dutt will be essaying the role of 'Chaudhary Aslam' in Aditya Dhar's upcoming film. It is worth mentioning that Chaudhary Aslam was a senior Pakistan police officer, who was known for his work in the anti-gang and anti-terror. He had survived multiple assassinations, but he was killed in a powerful car-bomb attack in January, 2014.

Talking about the portrayal of Chaudhary Aslam in the film, his wife, Naureen told PTI agency that she is waiting for the film to release and after watching it she will decide her next step. Naureen also revealed that she had a major issue with one dialogue in the trailer, which described ‘Chaudhary Aslam’ as the child of a ‘devil and jinn’. Regarding the same, Naureen Aslam was quoted as saying:
"We are Muslims and such words are disrespectful to not only Aslam but his mother as well who was a simple honest woman."

During the same conversation with PTI, Naureen Aslam continued to reveal that after watching the film, Dhurandhar, if she feels that her husband was portrayed in the wrong light, she would not think twice before taking a legal action. She had shared:
"If I see my husband being portrayed wrongly or any propaganda against him in the film, I will definitely take all legal steps I can."

Naureen Aslam further continued to talk about her late husband, Chaudhary Aslam and shared that he was a brave police officer and criminals were scared of his name. She also spoke about Akshaye Khanna’s role as ‘Rehman Dakait’ and shared:

"My husband was a brave and courageous police officer and his name was feared by criminals and terrorists... I am surprised that they have portrayed Rehman Dakait as a big terrorist although I know from my husband he was an extortionist, kidnapper and a criminal."
Dhurandhar is an upcoming action thriller film, directed by Aditya Dhar. For the unversed, Aditya is well known for directing the film, Uri: The Surgical Strike. Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh in lead. Apart from him, the film also stars R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi and more. The film is scheduled to release on December 5, 2025. A few days ago, when fingers were pointed against the film on being a biopic of late Major Mohit Sharma, the director, Aditya Dhar had revealed that the film is entirely fictional.
