Not every love story has a happy ending. Some end on a bad note, and some find love again. Something similar has happened to popular Bollywood actress, Dia Mirza. She had got divorced from her first husband, Sahil Sangha in 2019, ending 11 years of relationship. However, she had found love again in the arms of the once-married man, Vaibhav Rekhi. According to reports, the lovebirds have been dating since 2020 and had lived in a live-in relationship during the lockdown in the nation.
On February 14, 2021, Dia had given her millions of fans a pleasant surprise by announcing her wedding with Vaibhav. After having a hush-hush pre-wedding bash, the couple had tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their loved ones. However, Dia had given another shocking news, when she had announced her pregnancy news on April 1, 2021, within a month and a half of her marriage. However, the actress did not pay any heed to the trolls. In July 2021, she was blessed with a baby boy, Avyaan.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Dia Mirza shared her views on pre-marital sex and pregnancy. She said that having a romantic relationship before marriage is a personal choice, and intimacy is a person’s right. Reflecting on the same, the actress said that one should not feel threatened or afraid to experience their right. She stated:
“I feel when it comes to personal choice and the power of personal choice, it can only be celebrated by those who ensure they make personal choices, not threatened, not afraid of making the choice that you need to as an individual.”
Further, in the same conversation, Dia Mirza shared that many people get regressive thoughts on pre-marital sex and pregnancy and many other things. But they should understand that its a person’s personal choice and it's their right to make their own decisions. Dia also added that people are not as open-minded or progressive as they think themselves to be. In her words:
“And while there may be many people with regressive thoughts on things like premarital sex or premarital pregnancy or any other things for that matter, there are enough people who recognise the fact that it is a personal choice, that people have the right to do if they choose to. I don’t think we are as progressive as we imagine or as we consider ourselves to be.”

On April 1, 2021, Dia had taken to her IG handle and had dropped a stunning photo from her Maldives trip to announce her pregnancy. She had looked beautiful in a red-hued floral dress, cradling her baby bump with her hand. However, she had got massively trolled for announcing pregnancy within a month of her marriage. There was one user, whose harsh question about Dia’s timing of pregnancy announcement had caught the attention of many.
He had asked her, "That's so good congrats. But the problem is, she tried to break the stereotypes with woman priest, why couldn't she announce her pregnancy before the marriage? Isn't becoming pregnant after marriage a stereotype we follow? Why can't women get pregnant before marriage?" Well, Dia had given a savage reply, sharing that they were getting married even before knowing about their pregnancy.
