Bollywood's gorgeous actress, Dia Mirza is enjoying every moment of her motherhood with her biological child, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi and her stepdaughter, Samaira Rekhi. It was on February 15, 2021, when Dia had tied the knot for the second time with her longtime beau, Vaibhav Rekhi. Soon after their wedding, Dia had announced the news of her pregnancy and on May 14, 2021, Dia and Vaibhav had welcome their baby boy.
It was after four months of Avyaan Azaad Rekhi’s birth that Dia Mirza had revealed her son’s face on her IG handle for the first time. Dia had surprised everyone by sharing the picture of her prince. The picture with a pencil sketch filter had featured little Avyaan sleeping in his mom's arms. Atop the picture, Dia had written:
''Our story has only just begun Avyaan 15.09.2021.''

On May 14, 2022, Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi's son, Avyaan turned one, and the doting mommy penned an emotional note for him. Posting a monochrome picture with the little munchkin, Dia recalled his pre-mature delivery and life-saving surgeries. Her note can be read as:
"Our Jaan, our miracle, you were born on this day 1 year ago with the song ‘Imagine’ playing. You were 3 months premature at 820 gms. 36 hours after birth we discovered you had necrotising enterocolitis and had to go through life saving surgery. You were cared for and nourished in the NICU with a stoma for 90days and finally sent home to us with a stoma. After you had gained strength and weight you went back to hospital for a 2nd surgery that lasted four and half hours. The doctors prepared us for the worst and said it would take a minimum of 21 days before you could be back home with us."
Dia continued her note by expressing her happiness about Avyaan's milestones and also revealed the first word spoken by her miracle baby. Her note can be further read as:
"Avyaan Azaad, you were ready to be home with us on day 9 our warrior. Your grace, your strength, your determination to fight the odds is so inspiring. Our son, you are now catching up on all your milestones, are happy, playful and loving. You fill our heart with joy and gratitude every single day. We are amazed and amused that your first spoken word is – Tiger. We remain grateful to all of your doctors and nurses for taking such good care of you. Avyaan Azaad, you have inherited a world that will count on your love, grace, empathy and kindness. Make your own way our darling. Just as you do every day. Always remember - you are love. Happy Birthday our son. Thank you for choosing us."
Avyaan was born before the due date in an emergency C-section delivery. Dia had got a sudden appendectomy and a very severe bacterial infection during her pregnancy which could have led to sepsis if the doctors didn't tend her at the right time. Announcing the arrival of her baby boy and his adorable name, Dia had posted a cute picture and had written:
"To paraphrase Elizabeth Stone, "To have a child is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body." These words perfectly exemplify Vaibhav and my feelings right now. Our heartbeat, our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Having arrived early, our little miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the Neonatal ICU."

On December 14, 2021, Dia Mirza Rekhi had taken to her IG handle to share a cutesy picture of her son, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi on his seven-month birthday. In the picture, Dia was seen holding her son's little fingers. Besides that, what had caught our attention was the tattoo on the new mommy's wrist which was inked with her baby boy's middle name, Azaad. Along with the picture, Dia had wished the best for her 'mowgli' and had captioned it as:
''Our little mowgli turns 4 months old today. May you witness the infinite beauty, wonder and magic of our world Avyaan Azaad. The circle of life is complete with you around.''
