Bollywood actress, Dia Mirza has been enjoying the most beautiful phase of her life. The actress, who is a mommy to her three-year-old baby boy, Avyaan, also shares an amazing bond with her step-daughter, Samaira (daughter of Dia's husband, Vaibhav Rekhi, and Sunaina Rekhi). Recently, Dia revealed for the first time that her step-daughter Samaira never called her mom, and because of this, her own child also calls her 'Dia mom'.
Recently, in an interview with News18, Dia revealed that Samaira called her by her name, and she also never expects anything from her, as she already has a mother, whom she calls 'mumma'. She added that because of Samaira, her three-year-old son, Avyaan, also started calling her by her first name, which is funny. Dia was quoted as saying:

"She hasn’t called me maa. There is no expectations from her to call me ‘maa’, ‘mumma’ or ‘mother’. She has a mother who she calls ‘mumma’ or ‘mom’. She calls me ‘Dia'. Thanks to her now Avyaan also calls me ‘Dia’ once in a while. He says 'Dia mom'."

On May 15, 2023, Dia's son, Avyaan, turned two years old. The doting mommy shared pictures from her son's second birthday party on her IG handle. While parents strive to host the best birthday parties, keeping kids' favourite cartoon characters in mind, Dia hosted a unique nature-themed birthday party for Avyaan in the garden. In the first picture, we can see Dia holding Avyaan in her arms and cutting his second birthday cake.
Avyaan's second birthday cake featured animals like giraffe, elephant, monkey, lion as cake toppings. For the bash, Dia donned a white-hued dress. Subtle makeup and hair tied in a fishtail braid completed her look. On the other hand, Avyaan donned a cream-coloured t-shirt with an animal print. He paired it with beige-coloured shorts. In the other photo, Dia Mirza's step-daughter, Samaira Rekhi was also spotted as she posed for the family picture.

We loved how the party had kids' friendly activities like colouring the sheets and playing with the small animal toys. Dia made sure that the garden party is kids friendly and that everyone sat on mats. Alongside the post, Dia wrote:
"2 years of Magic with this little Master. Thank you my jaan Avyaan Azaad for choosing me as your mother. Nothing gives me more joy! The 14th of May will always be my most favourite day."
In May 2021, Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi embraced parenthood with the arrival of their son, Avyaan. However, her son was a premature baby, and he was in NICU for 90 days. After which, Dia announced the birth of her first child. On July 14, 2021, Dia revealed in a long note that she had an emergency C-section delivery, after which, her baby was admitted to NICU.
