The duo has since dismissed the buzz. However, Dianna's old posts about her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, have been surfacing on social media, grabbing the attention of the public lately.

Dianna Russini said that she is married to someone 'average'

New York Times NFL reporter, Dianna Russini, got married to Kevin Goldschmidt back in 2020 after reportedly dating since 2015. The duo has two kids. Well, as Mike Vrabel drama erupted, some old posts of the NFL reporter about Kevin have been making waves. It was in 2021, during her appearance on ESPN's Get Up, when Dianna joked that she is married to someone average.

In a clip, she added that if she had gotten married to someone beautiful, she would have posted too. She further added that they both are average together, and as he married her, it makes her feel above average. She instantly retreated, saying that she needs to stop while jokingly mentioning that they are going to get divorced. Dianna could be quoted as saying:

"I’m married to someone average. If I was married to someone beautiful, I would over-post too. Look we are average together but he makes me above average because he married me. I am so sorry, I need to really stop killing my husband on television. I’m going to be divorced by Christmas."

Even before that, it was in 2020, when Dianna Russini took to her X (Twitter), wherein she added that she tossed all night and decided that 'The Washington Football team is going to stun the Seattle Seahawks and win 5 in a row'. To this, a user commented that Russini needs a boyfriend. With a humorous touch, Dianna Russini then replied that she tells her husband, Kevin, the same. Dianna's now-deleted comment could be read as:

"I tell my husband that all the time."

What happened between Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini?

It was on April 8, 2026, when Page Six released some photos of Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini from a luxurious hotel in Arizona. In the photos, the duo was seen sharing a chat, hugging each other and enjoying each other's company. Soon, speculations started doing the rounds about Dianna and Mike's affair, which was intensified, given that they both are married to their respective partners. It was later shared by sources that the duo was out there with a separate group of friends, and then started hanging out with each other. 

It was later known that Mike was in Arizona, as he was on a scouting visit before attending a league competition committee meeting in Phoenix, while Dianna was supposed to cover the league as well. Reports also suggested that Dianna was there for a hiking trip.

Well, as the speculations were spreading like wildfire, Mike and Dianna both came forward to clarify. Mike said to the New York Post that the photos are innocent and the buzz is indeed 'laughable'. On the other hand, Dianna stated that the photos didn't feature the other six people who were with her and Mike. She also stated that it happens that reporters interact with the sources, away from the stadium and venues.
