Raveena Tandon Clarifies Whether Her Daughter, Rasha Thadani Used Negative PR Against Star Kids

Raveena Tandon was the OG Bollywood crush in the 90s. She ruled the silver screen for many decades with her effortless performances. Soon, her daughter, Rasha Thadani, followed in her footsteps and stepped into Bollywood. Her performance in the song, Uyi Amma from Azaad, quickly became a superhit and garnered a lot of applause for the celeb kid.

Did Rasha Thadani plant a negative PR against star kids?

Soon after the success of Uyi Amma, there were rumours that Rasha Thadani had planted negative PR against fellow star kids. However, Raveena has now opened up about the rumours in an interaction with the Zoom Spotlight podcast. Talking about the rumours, she revealed:

“When Rasha’s song Uyi Amma came out, a lot of people like trolls and fans, they started comparing her with others, I don’t want to take names. Other kids, other children, they all are children.”

Raveena also shared how there was constant news about Rasha as soon as she made her debut. According to Raveena, there were comparisons, praise, and trolling as well. Raveena also stated that things went downhill when PR related allegations were made against her. She further recalled that a section of people accused her daughter of orchestrating negativity as a PR move to make herself look better.

Raveena Tandon rubbished the reports about her daughter Rasha Thadani

In the same interaction, Raveena rubbished all the claims about her daughter. She also stated that they can never go and talk negatively about their own friend’s kids. Speaking about the same, she said:

“All through my career, I never had a PR person. It is so unlike us, our family, to go ahead and negate our own friends’ children - the children who we have seen grow up. Ye afwahein bhi bahut udti hai. So jahan kisi ne bola, ‘Arey ye unki PR machinery chal rahi hai.’ Arey kaun si PR machinery? Nobody is that vile and wicked that they will put one person down to show themselves up."

Rasha Thadani’s professional front

Rasha Thadani made her Bollywood debut in 2025 with the film, Azaad. Although the film tanked at the box office, her dance number, Uyi Amma, made her a sensation. The song and Rasha’s moves were highly appreciated by the audience. Her next film is Laikey Laikaa opposite Abhay Verma, and Rasha is all set to make her Telugu debut as well. Recently, the star kid made her singing debut with the song, Chaap Tilak for the movie, Laikey Laikaa.
