For his MET Gala debut, Diljit Dosanjh wanted to do something haatke, and he obviously wanted to pay honour to his Punjabi roots. He opted for an ivory-toned sherwani with a long swiping cape. His sherwani was designed by none other than Nepalese-American designer Prabal Gurung, and Diljit's look actually brought Sikh heritage, amalgamated with Punjabi royalty. Along with this, Diljit wore some oh-so-royal jewels, which instantly became the talk of the town, firstly for their opulence and then for the history attached to them.

Diljit Dosanjh sets a trend for the groom who wants to experiment with jewels for weddings: From regal necklaces to bracelets, swords, and more

Diljit Dosanjh donned a huge necklace, which was a replica of the famous Patiala necklace that belonged to Maharaja, Bhupinder Singh. The OG piece was crafted by Cartier and was commissioned by the king back in 1928. Diljit's necklace was a contemporary one and was designed by Golecha’s Jewels. From rubies, emeralds, diamonds, and polki, the replica of the Patiala necklace, too, screamed elegance.

The original piece had a price tag of Rs. 10 crores since it featured a huge 234-carat De Beers yellow diamond at the centre. It was the stylist of the singer, Abhilasha Devnani who reached out to Cartier to check if they would lend the singer the Patiala necklace for his MET Gala debut. Well, the request was denied, and although, Diljit wore the replica of this iconic piece, it brought the regal iconic piece again to the talks. In today's time the necklace has an amount of Rs. 21,000 crore.

Along with it, Diljit wore a classy bracelet from Cartier, which was made in Tiger shape. The eyes of the tiger were encrusted with emeralds, and the entire bracelet was made with 18k yellow gold with emeralds, yellow, orange, and brown diamonds. The singer also showcased a rose-gold Cartier watch, which is one of its own kind. Diljit's pagdi was decked up with jewels, which made him stand out and rule like a KING on the blue carpet of MET GALA 2025.
