Dipika Kakar Breaks Down After Doctor Visit Amid Liver Cancer Treatment, 'Reports Are Normal But...'

Dipika Kakar is one of the most talented actresses of the Hindi TV industry. She was the winner of the popular TV reality show, Bigg Boss 12. She is widely known for her role as 'Simar' in the hit TV soap opera, Sasural Simar Ka. However, her world crashed down when she was diagnosed with a tennis ball-sized liver tumour in May 2025. The tumour has been removed through a surgery. Now, amid her stage two liver cancer treatment, Dipika broke down in tears after her doctor visit.

Dipika Kakar becomes emotional after her recent doctor visit

Recently, Dipika Kakar paid visit to her oncologist, Dr. Imran Shaikh along with her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim. The Sasural Simar Ka actress shared that after speaking to her doctor for a while, she felt like crying. Dipika mentioned that when she first came to know about her health scare, she tried a lot, but during her surgery and through her recovery phase she remained strong. However, after her recent doctor visit, Dipika couldn’t hold back her tears. She was quoted as saying:

"We went to meet my oncologist, Dr. Imran Shaikh. After speaking with him for a while, I suddenly felt like crying. Everything is normal, but I still felt extremely anxious. When I first learned about my illness, I cried a lot. After that, I tried to stay very strong, throughout the entire journey, during my surgery, and through the recovery. But today, I don't know why, I just broke down in tears. Every single day in this journey brings a new challenge, and sometimes my heart simply can't hold it all in."

Dipika Kakar opens up about her emotional turmoil amid stage two liver cancer treatment

In the same vlog, Dipika Kakar opened up about her emotional turmoil. She mentioned that there has been a constant fear even when things are normal. She highlighted that sometimes the constant struggles are sometimes exhausting. She broke down in tears when she shared about the everyday struggles. She was quoted as saying:

"It's not that I feel overwhelmed all the time, there are days I feel genuinely happy and hopeful. I'm going through an emotional breakdown right now. There's still that lingering fear in my heart, even when everything seems okay. It becomes exhausting at times. And on some days, you just feel tired. I just want to share this with all of you. I know so many people are dealing with situations far more serious than mine, and even your families might be going through tough times. All I want to say is, don't give up. Choose life."

Dipika Kakar shares her health update

Further in the vlog, Dipika Kakar shared her health update. She highlighted that everyday she faces something new. She mentioned that her thyroid levels fluctuate sometimes and the hormonal changes affects her body in unexpected ways. She added that her skin too become extremely dry. She was quoted as saying:

"Every day I wake up dealing with something new. Sometimes my thyroid levels fluctuate. Hormonal changes affect the body in unexpected ways. My skin has become extremely dry, these past two days the air has been so dry that the skin on my hands has started cracking. There's this odd pressure I feel in my ears and neck. My nose feels uncomfortably dry too."

Dipika and Shoaib crossed paths in 2011 when they were working on the same serial, Sasural Simar Ka. However, in the same year, Dipika married Raunak Mehta but they parted ways in 2015. After 3 years, Dipika and Shoaib tied the knot in 2018. They had an intimate nikah ceremony. Now they are parents to a baby boy, Ruhaan.
