Dipika Kakar is in seventh heaven as she is pregnant with her first child. Her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim and the entire Ibrahim family have been showering her with love and lots of care. However, despite all the precautions and a good diet, Dipika Kakar revealed that she has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes in her 28th week of pregnancy. While it is a common occurrence in pregnant women, slight carelessness can lead to adverse effects.
Dipika Kakar, who often shares snippets of her life on her YouTube channel, Dipika Ki Duniya, talked about getting diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Dipika revealed that her doctor advised her to get her gestational challenge test, and the reports came out positive. She shared that many ladies get gestational diabetes in the 24th to 28th week of pregnancy. Talking about the same, Dipika said:
"Jis kisi ko pehle diabetes na rahi hoon, unko bhi risk rehta hai ki pregnancy ke duraan sirf strictly diabetes develop kar skte hai. So mere saath wahi hua hai. Dipika further added that her first reaction after her doctor told her she is having diabetes was that if she had a lot of mangoes, sweets or rice. She shared that this is not the reason for a woman to develop diabetes. She shared that many ladies go through it. So, now she is not allowed to eat anything sweet or bread, and she also has to walk a lot and exercise. She said:
"Obiviously jab aap suno ki gestational diabetes hogayi hai toh thoda darr lagta jata hai. Par jo doctor hai unhone bahut ache se bola ki yeh jo hume kal scan krna hai vo acha hai. So don't get worried. So hume abi ispe dhayan nai diya toh aage jaa kr dikkat ho skti hai since ye third trimester hai and baby grows faster in it."

Maybe when I hold him/her that time I will be able to express myself better."
