Dipika Kakar REACTS To Shefali Jariwala's Sudden Death, 'Kis Ki Zindagi Kitni Hai, Uppar Wala Hi..'

Dipika Kakar, who has been undergoing a healing journey after her liver surgery, expressed her grief and shock at the news of Shefali Jariwala's untimely demise. For the unversed, Shefali left a strong mark in India with her bold performance in the song, 'Kaanta Laga'. Later, fans adored her brief yet significant appearance on the reality show Bigg Boss 13. Shefali passed away in Mumbai on June 27, 2025.

Dipika Kakar expressed her pain at the sudden passing away of Shefali Jariwala

In a recent vlog of Shoaib Ibrahim, Dipika Kakar expressed her emotions at the untimely passing of Shefali, who was full of life at the age of 42. While the speculated cause of her death is considered to be a drop in BP, the family have been restraining themselves from divulging into details. In the vlog, Shoaib asked Dipika what she was seeing, and she replied that she had heard the news of Shefali's passing.

Dipika stated they never knew each other personally, but she had seen her work. The actress added that no one knows how short their life is, and it is better to live every day with full gratitude. Dipika was quoted as saying:

"Jo news aayi hai Shefali ki, it is shocking, it is sad. Hum log unko personally nahi jante the, kabhi mile nahi kabhi baat cheet bhi nahi hui hai. But obviously unka kaam dekha hai. Life bahut jada unpredictable hai kab kiske saath kya hone wala hai, kiski zindagi kitni hai yeh sab uperwala janta hai hum nahi jante. Toh khush raho yaar, her din khulkar jiyo, khush rakho. Pichle kuch dino se hum yahi bol rahe hai, or aaj kal jo cheeje ho rahi hai jo cheeje samne aa rahi hai usme baar-baar yahi feel ho raha hai, jo ho raha usme gratitude rakhte hai mehnat karte hai or khush rahte hai."

Dipika Kakar's difficult past few months

It is worth mentioning that Dipika and Shoaib have been through a lot. First, Dipika had to quit MasterChef Celebrity mid-season due to severe shoulder pain. Later, the couple got saved from the Pahalgam attack as they were in Kashmir just a day ago. However, in May 2025, Dipika got diagnosed with a tennis ball-sized tumour in her stomach and underwent surgery for the same in June 2025. Currently, she is on complete rest and making progress toward a full recovery.

It was in 2002 that Shefali Jariwala rose to fame with the music video of Kaanta Laga. She became an instant rage, and also appeared in the film, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, alongside Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. Later, she entered the television industry and participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye alongside her husband, Parag Tyagi. She was also seen in the reality show, Bigg Boss 13. It is worth mentioning that Shefali wanted to adopt a child. 

After her sudden death, Shefali Jariwala's longtime doctor talked about her health condition in an interview with ABP News. The doctor revealed she had no serious medical condition and wasn't on heart-related medication. Not only this, but the doctor also shared that Shefali had been undergoing anti-ageing treatment for the past five to six years.

We totally agree with Dipika Kakar that life is unpredictable.
