Dipika Kakar's 2025 was no less than a rollercoaster ride. The actress, who made her comeback by participating in the cooking reality show, Celebrity MasterChef, had to leave it in the middle due to her health condition. After which, she suffered severe pain in her stomach, and later got diagnosed with a tennis ball-sized tumour. Dipika was breastfeeding her son, Ruhaan, and had to wean him off within a day, and it impacted her. Now, as she recovers from a long surgery, the actress has spoken about her return to television.

Dipika Kakar talked about her comeback on television

Recently, Dipika hosted a Live session and answered her fans' queries. During the session, a fan asked Dipika about her comeback on television, and the actress gave a positive reply. She stated that she would love to and will ask her doctor when she can restart her work.

Dipika added that her initial plan was to restart acting and take up new projects after she had weaned off her son, Ruhaan. But things took a turn, and she had to wean her son within a day due to her surgery. She was quoted as saying:

"I would love to! Kyunki maine apne doctors se bhi poochha hai ki main kab kaam kar sakti hu. Kyunki mera actual plan yehi tha ki jab Ruhaan ka feeding chhoot jayega, then uske baad I will plan. Get fit again and get back to work. Lekin yeh sab ho gaya, iss tareeke se hoga kisi ne nahi socha tha."

Dipika, whose liver tumour was termed as cancerous, shared that her body has to undergo the targeted therapy, so she had to see how it reacts to it. And once everything gets sorted, she would plan her comeback. Dipika shared:

"Because my body has to take the target therapy, has to accept it well. And ek baar wo ho jaye, to wo mera new ‘normal’ hoga. To new normal ke saath har cheez main kar paau, aisa hona chahiye."

Shoaib Ibrahim on Dipika Kakar's post-surgery recovery

Earlier, in a YouTube Vlog, Shoaib Ibrahim, Dipika Kakar's husband, revealed details about her recovery after the tumour surgery. He stated that the tumour was removed and they had thought things would be fine, but while there are no cancer cells present in Dipika's body, the biopsy report stated that the tumour was classified as grade three, which means it was quite aggressive one, and there are high chances of it to re-occur. He said:

"Earlier, we thought that maybe if the tumour was removed, then everything would be fine. As far as the body is concerned, there are currently no cancer cells present. However, the biopsy report that we received and the PET scan we reviewed indicated a more serious situation. The tumour was classified as grade three and poorly differentiated, which means it was quite aggressive. Uske chances kaafi hote hai re-occur karne ki."

When Dipika Kakar's fell severely ill due to weaning off Ruhaan

Earlier, Shoaib took to his YouTube channel and gave an update about his wife, Dipika Kakar. He revealed that the actress was not doing well. Shoaib shared that after they talked about their tumour surgery, she started the weaning-off phase so that Ruhaan could get accustomed to the new change. However, Dipika got severely ill as she started having pain, due to which she got a viral infection, which quickly turned into the flu. Dipika also later called it the most difficult time and the hardest decision which she had to take.
