Bollywood actress, Disha Patani's elder sister, Major Khushboo Patani, is a retired officer from the Indian Armed Forces. She has been getting a lot of love for her humanitarian, brave act of saving an abandoned girl child. It was in the morning of April 20, 2025, when the retired major took to her Instagram handle to share a heartwrenching video of how a girl child was left at a ruined building outside her home in Bareilly.

It was on the morning of April 20, 2025, when Khushboo took to her Instagram handle to visit a ruined, broken area behind her home. She was dressed in her home clothes, wearing shorts with her hair tied and was next to a small child who was covered in dust, had an injury and scratches near her mouth. The child was crying loudly, and then Khushboo picked up the child and told her she was in safe hands. Khushboo could be heard telling in the video:

"Aapko achi jagah dalenge. Bache ki shakal dikha dete hai. Agar aapko lagta hai yeh Bareilly se hai. Please bata doh kaha se aaye hoh. Khandar mei aise maa baap chodh kar jare hai. Dhitkar hai aise maa bapo ko. Doodh sahi se pi nai pari. Kitna mara hai ussei. Kaise log hai."

Netizens hail Khushboo Patani's act of saving the baby girl

One user, seeing the emotional video, wrote, "Good job done Major khushboo patani jidil se appreciated ur kindness humanity and great positive mindset dil ko chu liye is morning ke aapki post ne and heart cried from inside why people do such cruelty kya lekar Jana hai hamein is duniya kyon nahi sochte ek baar please take care of the kid and hand it to the right authority team." Another one commented, "I usually don’t comment on posts, today you have moved me and made servicemen and women proud and proved yet again that we are better humans in uniform. Great work done, Khushboo keep working to protect humanity Major, God Bless." The retired Major shared the clip with the caption:

"Jako rakhe saiyan, maar sake nah koi (Nobody can harm one whom God protects). I hope she will be taken care of by the authorities and whatever is the chain of command ahead with proper rules and regulations @bareillypolice @uppolice @myogi_adityanath. Please save the girl child in our country! kab tak chalega yeh sab? (Till when will this continue)? Please. I will ensure that she goes to the right hand and her life will flourish henceforth!"

Khushboo Patani credits her mom, who heard the cries of the baby girl

Khushboo shared the heartwrenching clip of the child sleeping in a dilapidated state. She then told her followers that the police would take the child, and then in the clip, the child was taken with police personnel on a bike to the hospital for medical treatment. Khushboo affectionately named the child, Radha and said that in the entire area only Khushboo's mom could listen to the cries of the child. Khushboo's mom ,Padma Patani, then said:

"Bahut time se rora tha bacha. Maine kaha kaun bacha rora hai. Kaun hai koi hai. Kiska bacha rora hai. Mei hi apne kaam wali ko leke gayi. Etne mei Khushboo aa gayi. Waha dekha bacha pada tha."
