In an interview with SpotboyE, Divya had confirmed her relationship with Varun. She had said that they are a couple and very much dating. She had said that she is glad to hold on to Varun's hand and fight with the world. She had also talked about her relationship getting bigger and better and how they plan to take it to the next level soon, as for them their relationship was not for fun. She had concluded by saying that they are serious about each other.

The couple had renovated their house together, celebrated their growing family together, had also faced a short period of separation when Varun had gone back to his home in Delhi, and now that Varun is back with Divya, she needs all his attention. As for many couples, it is hard to convince their parents to live together. Varun and Divya had shared their story about how they had convinced their parents for the same. In a joint interview with ETimes, Divya and Varun had revealed their parents' reaction on their decision of moving in together. Varun had shared that his parents were happy about his decision and had said, "My parents were damn chill. Before this, I was living in Delhi. So when I told them I am going to Mumbai, they said, ‘Toh Mumbai me sambhal lega?’ I told them Divya is there and they were like ‘Oh, then it’s fine’. My mom and dad were very chill about this." On the other hand, Divya had found it hard to break the news to her parents as she was staying with them in Mumbai. The actress had shared, "For me, breaking this news to my parents was really difficult because I stay in Mumbai (Navi Mumbai) with my parents. For 12 years, I have been travelling from New Mumbai to Mumbai for work and every small things. So when Varun was shifting to Mumbai, I just couldn’t leave him alone here. I didn’t want to just meet him and come back home."
She had further added, "I slowly started shifting my things to his place. Out of the blue, a week later I told my mom that it is getting difficult for me because of the travelling. And she was like, “For 12 years, you didn’t have any problem and now you are having a problem.” And I told her that I have done up and down for 12 years and don’t want to do it anymore. And thankfully, Varun ka number 1 fan is my dad. My dad loves him more than anybody in the family. So agar Varun jaisa ladka hai Divya ke saath hai toh papa is more than happy to think that I am in safe hands."
