Divya Khossla Reveals She Wasn't Allowed To Be Heroine After Marriage With T-Series' Bhushan Kumar

Divya Khossla is married to T-Series owner, Bhushan Kumar. However, in the past few years, rumours about their marriage hitting a rough patch have surfaced on the internet, but the couple has never really reacted to the speculation. But when Divya dropped her husband's surname from her name on Instagram, the divorce rumour re-ignited, and that's when Bhushan Kumar clarified that it was for astrological purposes. Divya recently opened up about how she wasn't allowed to act after marriage.

Divya Khossla revealed she wasn't allowed to act in films after marriage to T-Series' owner Bhushan Kumar

Recently, Divya Khossla appeared on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiya's podcast. During their interaction, the hosts asked her how she started directing films and music videos. Divya revealed that she has been extremely creative from a young age. However, her wedding was fixed before the release of her film, Ab Tumhare Hawale. She got married to Bhushan Kumar owner of T-Series. So, the family didn't allow her to act. Divya was quoted as saying:

"Mai starting se bahut creative rahi hoon. I got married early Ab Tumahre Hawale release se pehle meri shaadi fix hogayi, and I got married and uske baad my family was obiviously not ready for me to act."

Divya further revealed that she started learning cinematography and filming. She was still studying when she got married so she took up editing and cinematography and directed her first music video for Sonu Nigam's father, Agam Nigam, and it was a big blockbuster. She said:

"You know, so then I started learning cinematography and filming. Choti thi mai, tabi padh rahi thi mai. Toh mai ne cinematography seekhi editing seekhi. Fir I directed my first video which was a blockbuster that was for Sonu Nigam's father."

Divya Khosla Kumar and Bhushan Kumar's love story 

For those who don't know, Divya Khosla Kumar is married to Bhushan Kumar, who took the T-Series to the next level. Divya was just 21 when she got married to Bhushan on February 13, 2005, at the Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu. In 2011, Divya and Bhushan welcomed their first child, Ruhaan.

During the shooting of her first film, Bhushan Kumar was head over heels in love with her. However, Divya kept a distance from him. Their meetings were strictly professional. Soon, Bhushan tried to connect with her through text messages, but she didn't give a positive reply due to Bhushan's image.

Divya further revealed that it was her mother who forced her to get married to Bhushan Umar. She stated that he invited her to his sister's wedding in Delhi. When her parents approved him for her, she also started liking him. She said:

"He invited me with my family for his sister’s wedding in Delhi, and that is when my parents met him and they liked him instantly because of his humility even after so many achievements. My mother pushed me to get married to him, and by then I also had started liking him. Thus, we got married."
