Weeks after the Bengaluru hit-and-run crime, video from CCTV has surfaced, and the perpetrator has been identified. According to the footage, the car was supposedly driven by Kannada actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Divya Suresh. The accident occurred on October 4, 2025, outside the Nithya Hotel in Byatarayanapura, about 1:30 a.m. A case has been filed, and Bengaluru police have seized the vehicle.
On October 4, 2025, three individuals were hit by a black car in Byatarayanapura. The collision occurred around 1:30 am on October 4, when three people, Anusha, Anita, and Kiran, were on a motorcycle heading toward a hospital. According to many media sources, CCTV footage from the area later showed a black Kia sedan, reportedly driven by Divya, hit the bike near Byatarayanapura Police Station and raced away without stopping to aid. As per the complaint on October 7, 2025, the trio took a turn to avoid dog barking just when the speeding car ran into them.
The victim, Anita, sustained a fracture on the kneecap and had to undergo surgery costing nearly Rs 2 lakh, while Anusha and Kiran escaped with minor injuries. As per the eyewitness and relatives, they described the incident as a hit and run, and stated that the driver did not stop to assist the victims. The victim’s cousin said:
"While on our way to the hospital, near Byatarayanapura Police Station, a lady in a black KIA car hit and ran despite calling her to stop."
Police on duty immediately rushed the injured to the hospital, first taking her to New Life Hospital and later shifting her to BGS Hospital for further treatment. An FIR has reportedly been registered at the Byatarayanapura Traffic Police Station. After the investigation, it was reported that the vehicle involved in the accident is owned by Divya Suresh, and her car has been seized as part of the ongoing probe.

The Superintendent of Police (Cyber Crime Division), Anoop Shetty, stated that the case has been filed under the relevant sanctions. He further noted that both parties delayed filing the complaints, and the investigation has confirmed that Divya Suresh was driving the car at the time of the accident; inquiries are still underway. The investigation suggests that the bike was triple-ridden, and police are also examining whether speeding or reckless driving led to the crash. Although the situation is still under investigation, there are also rumours that Divya had her car released overnight.

On October 24, 2025, Divya took to Instagram and shared a screenshot of the CCTV footage from the accident, which was supposedly posted on social media, including YouTube. Along with it, she also shared a comment that defended her. Divya Suresh shared the screenshot on her Instagram story and wrote, "Thanks to the noble souls who commented. Truth alone triumphs." The comment read:
"The rider made the mistakes... Three people were riding the bike, none of whom had a helmet. The rider came onto the road on his own and crashed into the car as the driver was turning left. Now, it is foolish to blame the guy in the car. Kindly watch the video or have your eyes examined. You can't just blame someone without cause just because they're an actor.

Divya Suresh is a well-known Kannada actress and former professional Kabaddi player. She participated in Bigg Boss Kannada 8, hosted by Kicha Sudeep, which catapulted her to stardom.
