A guru is the source of light in this world that's filled with darkness. And while we search for a true guru in everyone else, we forget to worship the gurus, who brought us into this world and inspired us to be a better person by setting the real examples. We are talking about the first teacher, our parents, but looks like Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya didn't forget and she shared her ode to her family on the occasion of Guru Purnima. Before we take you further, let us take an inside trip to Divyanka's journey to being the top actress. We all have seen her playing different roles and characters, but in all of those, it was her charm that was common and made us fall for her. We have cried with her, laughed with her and also hooted for her one she found her true love in Vivek Dahiya and became Mrs Dahiya.

And while we all love her acting skills, style, and positive persona, Divyanka has learned a lot of things from her family, who constantly supported her in all her future endeavours. Today (July 16, 2019), on the occasion of Guru Purnima, the actress took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture of her parents and sister. Along with it, she wrote, "Meet my Gurus who shaped me... Who may be proud of me but I'm Super Proud of them!#Papa #Mummy and #Sweety whom I could never address as dee. #HappyGuruPurnima".Take a look at the pictures below:
Last year, in an India Today column, Divyanka had written how her mother became the source of inspiration and pushed her to go for her dreams. She had written, "People ask me how I am this combination of strong and loving and what's the secret behind my achievements. And I want to tell them that it's because of my mother who has always put up her bravest front, training us non-stop in a variety of activities, and who I have never-ever seen breaking down in front of me or anybody else for that matter." She had further written about her father and how he used to work so hard to earn the bread for the family, "My father was a pharmacist and he owned a medical shop, which meant he worked for long hours, maybe more than a daily soap artist. My mother would be the only person who took care of household chores, take care of ourselves, and take complete responsibilities of the minutest things at home."
Divyanka had also shared about the times when her mother encouraged all her siblings to take different things and follow their passion, "We are three siblings-my elder sister Priyanka, a bariatric counselor in Columbia Asia hospital, and my younger brother Aishwarya, a pilot with Indigo, and we all have been motivated by our mother to try out different things in our growing up years. She would never overtly pamper us or be over-protective about things, in fact, she would encourage us to step out of our comfort zones and participate in different kinds of activities. Even though I was interested in learning new things, at times I would get laidback. But I have never seen her stopping; she would constantly push us towards our goal and enrolled us in multiple activities. I was attending hundreds of classes thanks to her and learning innumerable things. She would ask us to even pursue things we have a lesser inclination for, saying we would end up learning something from it."
Divyanka had also written about her sister and that she has always been the pillar of support in her life, "When it comes to emotional management, my sister is my second mother. For anything emotional, I had great support in my sister Priyanka. I am lucky to have two mothers as I had double support. My sister has always been by the emotional go-to person and I still follow the principles taught by her. Be it womanhood, or my crushes, I used to discuss it with her. Not only my sister, but I also shared anything and everything with my mom and dad too. And now that I am married, my husband too is my best friend. I don't really need a lot of friends outside considering I have such strong innate family support."
