Saif-Kareena Had Small Sangeet, Abhishek Kept A Crazy Party, Reveals DJ, Aqeel, 'They Are All...'

The grand Indian weddings of Bollywood stars and businessmen in India have always fascinated the masses. Everything becomes a topic of discussion, from aesthetic decor and designer outfits to star-studded events. Although fans see a few glimpses of such grand events, a lot stays under wraps. But, in a recent interview, renowned DJ and composer, Aqeel spilt some inside beans about the wedding or pre-wedding festivities of Saif Ali Khan, Anant Ambani, Abhishek Bachchan and more. 

DJ Aqeel opens up about Saif-Kareena and Abhishek Bachchan's sangeet parties 

DJ Aqeel recently sat down for an interview with Siddharth Kannan and shared some insights from the grand weddings of popular celebrities. He revealed that he performed at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena's sangeet ceremony, which included selected guests. On the other hand, Aqeel mentioned that Abhishek Bachchan had organised a crazy party before his wedding. In his words: 

"Saif and Kareena's (sangeet ceremony) was very small, with only very few people there at the Taj. Abhishek's was at his house in Juhu — it was a crazy party. Both were fun."

Aqeel mentioned that Saif and Abhishek had been his longtime friends, and they all grew up together. He admitted he shares a sense of comfort with the actors and knew many people from their guest list. Consequently, he didn't feel like a stranger performing at those events. The DJ revealed that the majority of these celebrities also graced his wedding. Recalling his experience of performing at the wedding of a popular businessman, Lakshmi Mittal's daughter, Aqeel said: 

"Shah Rukh Khan and Saif were also at that party in Paris, anchoring."

Aqeel reveals he was made to sign NDA before Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding

In the same conversation, Aqeel recalled performing at the grand wedding of Indian billionaire, Mukesh Ambani's son, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in 2024. He shared that there were 13 stages for the baraat, and he was stationed on one. The DJ added that there were several renowned artists at the event, and they all performed non-stop for 4.5 to 5 hours. Sharing why he wasn't seen in the pictures and videos from the event, Aqeel explained: 

"I had signed an NDA stating that if I posted anything on social media, they would sue me."

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot in a 6-day event held in Mumbai at the Ambani's residence in Antilia and the Jio Convention Center. The celebrations spanned from July 12, 2024 until July 30, 2024. It was attended by prominent celebrities, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth, John Cena, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, among others. Moreover, popular artists, including Justin Beiber, Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, performed at the event.
