Taki Taki Singer, DJ Snake To Undergo Surgery In February 2026, 'I've Been Battling A Health Issue'

Popular electronic music superstar, DJ Snake recently cancelled his much-anticipated India tour because of his health. Recently, the much-loved singer shared that he has been advised to undergo a surgery, which is why he has cancelled the tour. For the unversed, DJ Snake is best-known for hits like Get Low, Middle, Taki Taki and more. Read on to know more about his health.

DJ Snake will undergo a surgery in February 2026

Recently, singer, DJ Snake took to his X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that he has been going through some health issues lately because of which he has been advised to take proper rest for one month. He also shared that his doctors have told him to undergo a surgery in February 2026. It is worth mentioning that he did not reveal what has happened to him. A part of his note can be read as:

"Hey guys, I've been battling a health issue for a while, and it's finally caught up with me. After talking with my doctors, I need to have surgery in early February. It's something I can't push or delay anymore, and I'll need a month to fully rest and recover after that."

He further continued that his health and the immediate surgery are the prime reason that he is cancelling all his upcoming tours, including the much-awaited India tour. He also described the decision to cancel the tour as ‘incredibly hard’. He concluded the note by thanking his fans for the love they give. In his words:

"This means cancelling all my shows, including the India tour, and that decision has been incredibly hard. But I need to get back to 100% and this is the only way. Thank you for your love & understanding. I'll be back soon, stronger than before. William."

DJ Snake’s India tour

For the unversed, DJ Snake was planning an India tour in 2026. This would have been his third visit to India. Reportedly, the tour would begin on February 6, 2026, in Kolkata and end on February 15, 2026, in Delhi-NCR. He would have performed in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai. It is worth mentioning that the India tour was planned for late 2025; however, it was delayed due to multiple reasons. The cancellation has left a lot of Indian fans heartbroken.

Earlier in 2019, DJ Snake had spoken about what he loves about India and performing in the country. In the interview, he had shared that it is his fans and their love that he loves the most. He further stated that India and his Indian fans are his family. He was quoted as saying:

"I love everything about India, but you need to understand, it's not about what I come and take from the country. It's about seeing the fans that message me every day, sing my songs back to me.... in a country thousands of miles from home, where we are connected mostly via the internet and yet, it seems like we all know each other. That is what India is to me; it's family!"
