Normani's personal life has been affected heavily by her parents, Andrea and Derrick Hamilton's, battles with cancer. Her mom was first diagnosed with breast cancer, and years later, her father also started his fight with cancer. In August 2021, Andrea's final chemotherapy was completed, and she entered remission. It was a 'life and death' situation for Normani, and she felt completely 'helpless'. During this time, DK Metcalf supported her and became his strength. Although the current update about Normani's parents' health isn't known, we hope they're doing well and have beaten cancer, if they haven't yet.
