Duane Chapman, also known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, is an American television personality. He is a bounty hunter and former bail bondsman. The rugged star first caught the audience's attention after his successful capture of Max Factor, the heir Andrew Lustre, in 2003. However, this time it's not his skills that are making the headlines for him. Dog's stepson, Gregory Zecca, allegedly shot his 13-year-old, leading to his tragic demise.

Duane 'Dog' Chapman's stepson, Gregory Zecca, got involved in an incident that could easily be described as a nightmare for most parents. The man accidentally shot his 13-year-old son, which resulted in his tragic death. The Dog the Bounty Hunter's family member died in an accidental shooting at an apartment in Naples, Florida. According to TMZ, the tragic incident happened on July 19, 2025.

The Florida Police Department further confirmed the details of the shooting. They shared that they received a call from the apartment about a shooting on July 19, 2025, around 8 pm. The authorities further shared that the tragedy was an 'isolated incident'. They also revealed that they have not made an arrest so far.

In a conversation with TMZ through a representative, Dog the Bounty Hunter's wife and Gregory Zecca's mother revealed that they are grieving this incomprehensible loss as a family. She also urged others to keep them in their prayers as they process through the demise of their grandson, Anthony. However, there have been no further comments from the couple's representatives or the Collier County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) since then. Francie's representative was quoted as saying:

"We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible, tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony."

According to TMZ, George Zecca works with Dog the Bounty Hunter on his bounty team. He is Francie's son from her previous marriage. She married Dog in 2021, after they bonded over their shared grief following the death of their respective spouses. Dog is a father to a total of 13 children. He shares a son, Christopher, with Debbie White, and sons Duane Lee II and Leeland with his ex-wife, Fonda Sue Darnell. Additionally, he has sons Wesley, James Robert, and the late Zebadiah with his ex-wife, Anne Tegnell.

The reality star is also a father to Tucker, Lyssa, and the late Barbara with his ex-wife, Lyssa Rae Brittain, and he shares daughters, Bonnie and Cecily, as well as son, Garry, with his late wife, Beth. However, it was in 2023 when the reality TV star revealed that he had recently discovered he also has a son named Jon. He has been married a total of six times and shared a big, unusual family.
