Country Singer, Drake White And Wife, Alex Mourn Loss Of Baby Daughter, Della, 'I Am Dying From..'

The world of music often brings joy and celebration in one's life, but sometimes, it also witnesses moments of sadness that touch hearts far beyond the stage. Country singer, Drake White and his wife, Alex, recently shared heartbreaking news about their precious daughter, who left the world for heaven within minutes after her birth. Read on to know what the devastated parents have said about her. 

Alex and Drake White are mourning the death of their daughter, Della Elizabeth White

On September 7, 2025, Alex White, the wife of Drake, took to her Instagram handle to share the heartbreaking news of the death of their daughter. Along with a beautiful picture, she penned a long message, in which she had revealed that the couple had planned to name their daughter, Della Elizabeth White. She firstly thanked god for giving her a few holy minutes with the daughter and is hoping that their daughter is with god. Alex revealed that their daughter was born on August 31, 2025, at 8:52 am and she went to be with Jesus at 9:12 am, on the same day. In her words:

"On Sunday, August 31st our precious daughter, Della Elizabeth White, went peacefully to be with Jesus. We are so thankful for the holy moments God gave us with her.  We are heartbroken and soul tired, but we know we will get through this difficult time with the strength, peace, and joy that only our Heavenly Father can provide. May Della be held in the arms of Jesus until we see her again someday."

She continued to mention that she is completely heartbroken by their daughter’s death and she herself is dying from grief. She shared that her misery is draining her strength, and she is now leaving her future into God's hands. She penned:

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. I am dying from my grief; my years are shortened by sadness. Misery has drained my strength; I am wasting away from within. But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands. Della Elizabeth White, 29 weeks, 3lbs 3.5 oz, 13.25 in. Born: Sunday, August 31st 2025 at 8:52AM and peacefully went to be with Jesus at 9:12AM"

Drake White and Alex White's relationship is no less than any fairytale. The couple first met in Nashville, where Drake was pursuing his career as a country singer and Alex was working as an elementary school teacher. The duo instantly felt a connection and over time, it only grew stronger. After years of dating, the duo tied the knot in 2014. 

Together, they saw each other's highs and lows. Alex was Drake's biggest support system, when he suffered brain hemorrhage. Apart from facing several hardships, in 2023, they welcomed their first child- son, William Hawk. In a 2022 interview with PEOPLE, Drake had shared:

"We've been through so much, from my having a stroke on stage to Alex being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and having an autoimmune disorder."
