Dude, the Tamil romantic action comedy film, has finally arrived on OTT, and people who have missed watching the blockbuster film, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, can now enjoy it from the comfort of their homes. The film premiered today, on November 14, 2025, on the OTT giant platform, Netflix. While the film was made in two languages, Tamil and Telugu, the movie is available on OTT in multiple languages. Alongside Tamil and Telugu, the audience will enjoy watching the film in Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. Confirming the digital premiere date, Netflix wrote:

"One DUDE, one thousand problems, no solutions. Watch Dude on Netflix, out 14 November in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam."

Pradeep Ranganathan starrer, Dude's budget and box office collection

According to a latest Koimoi report, Pradeep Ranganathan starrer was made on a budget of Rs. 35 crore. The film grossed Rs. 86.17 crore, Rs. 28.25 crore overseas and Rs. 114.42 crore worldwide. They also declared the film as a superhit movie.

Plotline of the Tamil romantic action comedy film, Dude

The story of Dude revolves around 'Aravind' (played by Pradeep Ranganathan), a young man exploring modern-day relationships. Mamitha Baiju portrays the role of 'Kural', the love interest of 'Aravind'. 'Kural' and 'Aravind' are childhood friends, and with time, the former fell in love with the latter. Initially, 'Aravind' rejected her, but as time passed, he fell in love with her. But this time, 'Kural' has moved on and is in love with someone else. Dude is a tale of love and heartbreak mixed with humour. Alongside Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, veteran actor, R. Sarath Kumar is also part of the film. He plays the role of 'Aravind's' father.

When Dude's producer called the film a 'super duper hit'

Now that the movie, Dude, has become a super duper hit, it reminded us of the words once said by the film’s producer, Y. Ravi Shankar. At a press release event in Hyderabad, the producer called Pradeep Ranganathan starrer a 'super duper hit'. He mentioned that he found the movie an extraordinary one. He also lauded the stellar performances of the cast. He was quoted as saying:

"I went to Chennai recently and saw Dude. It was extraordinary. This film will become a super duper hit, and I am very confident about that. The performances of Pradeep, Mamitha and Sarath Kumar are so impressive that they are always one step ahead of each other."

The movie also got a UA (16+) certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). During the same event, Y. Ravi Shankar also highlighted what the audience can expect from the film. He also called the twist new and unique. He was quoted as saying:

"The trailer cut was made for the 'vibe' as it has youthful content. Another interesting part of Dude is that the twist is new and unique. There's so much content in the film that I am very sure audiences will enjoy it wholeheartedly. In Tamil Nadu and the Telugu states, we have received an overwhelming response for Dude."
