In the romantic drama, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Harshvardhan Rane portrays the role of 'Vikramaditya', a passionate and intense artist whose love for 'Adaa' (played by Sonam Bajwa) eventually turns into an obsession. The character played by the Sanam Teri Kasam star reflects how deep emotions often blur the line between love and possession. Sonam, as 'Adaa', plays a free-spirited woman who believes that love means liberation. Initially, her carefree nature attracted 'Vikramaditya', but later it became the reason for his insecurity.

According to a report by Big TV, Harshvardhan Rane allegedly earned Rs. 2-3 crore, while Sonam Bajwa has reportedly taken home Rs. 2 crore. If the report is believed to be true, then Harshvardhan bagged the highest paycheck for the romantic drama, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. It is worth mentioning that both lead actors earn more than their usual earnings per film. As per a Daily Jagran report, Sonam reportedly earns Rs. 80 lakh to Rs. 1 crore per film. And according to a 2021 Hindustan Times report, Harshavardhan's reported earning is Rs. 1.5 crore per film.

According to a report by Big TV, the veteran actor, Sachin, reportedly earned Rs. 1 crore for his role, while Shaad Randhawa was allegedly paid around Rs. 60–70 lakh.
