Elon Musk is hands down one of the most successful businessmen the world is seeing right now. Apart from being an angel investor, he is also the chairman and CEO of Tesla, Inc. and has recently acquired X (former Twitter). Elon Musk has often been in the news for his controversial statements and complicated love life. However, this time around, it is for his son’s name.

Elon Musk revealed that he named his son after an Indian Nobel Prize winner

Elon Musk recently attended the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology meeting with Rajeev Chandrasekhar. The meeting was held in Britain at the global AI Summit. In the meeting, Elon Musk revealed that he named his son after the Indian Nobel laureate, Professor S. Chandrasekhar. Elon Musk further divulged that his son’s middle name is Chandrasekhar.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar took to his X account and informed everyone about the same. Soon after his post, Elon Musk’s current partner and the mother of his son, Shivon Zilis, added that their son’s nickname is Sekhar. She further added:

“Yes, that’s true. We call him Sekhar for short, but the name was chosen in honour of our children’s heritage and the amazing Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar.”

Who is Professor S. Chandrasekhar?

Sivaramakrishna Chandrasekhar was an Indian physicist and the founder-president of the International Liquid Crystal Society. He formulated the theory that explains the development that stars subsequently undergo. In 1983, he won the Nobel Prize for the same theory (black hole theory).
