It was a major shock for many people who used to admire them for the way they were leading their marriage. Esha and Bharat shared a joint statement via the Delhi Times, which clearly mentioned that it was a mutual decision.
Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani also added that the welfare of their kids, Radhya and Miraya, is and will be their utmost priority. In their official statement, the ex-couple refrained from sharing the actual reason behind their decision to opt for separation after 12 years of their marriage. As soon as the reports of their separation made its way on the internet, several netizens and unidentified sources started speculating a series of possibilities.

However, the one common tea on Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani's separation that was ruling social media handles was a rumour about the entry of a new girl into Bharat's life. As per a viral Reddit post, Esha's ex-husband, Bharat is dating someone and the new girl in his life is the alleged reason behind the businessman's separation from Esha. However, as of now, it is nothing more than just a speculation, and it would be inappropriate to believe on this half-baked story with no grounds.
Bharat Takhtani is the son of famous businessman, Vijay Takhtani, who is a renowned name in India's gems and jewellery industry. The doting son was born in Mumbai into a Sindhi family. He completed his schooling at the prestigious Learner's Academy in Mumbai's Bandra region.
After his schooling, Bharat Takhtani went to Mumbai's famous H.R. College of Commerce and Economics at Churchgate. Soon after completing his graduation, Bharat joined his family business, making luxury bangles and other jewellery products.
Before we head to Bharat Takhtani's family business, it's important to talk about his grandfather, the late Gurumukhdas Takhtani, who started it all. It was back in 1950 when Gurumukhdas entered into India's less explored jewellery sector by launching his company, Girdharlal and Bros', which focused on manufacturing handcrafted bangles. The business tycoon started the factory in a space of just 200 sq. feet with only eight employees.
Soon, the company, Girdharlal and Bros started making profits, and in the year 1975, Gurumukhdas Takhtani's four sons, Girdhar Takhtani, Vijay Takhtani, Mukesh Takhtani, and Manoj Takhtani took over the business. The factory was expanded to 800 sq. feet and also saw a major jump in the number of employees from 8 to 25.
According to the official website of ZAR Jewels, the third generation of the Takhtani family, including Bharat Takhtani, entered the family business in 2007. The young generation grew the factory to 1500 sq. feet, and the employee count increased to 70.
Apart from this, the third generation of the Takhtanis renamed their family business to R.G. Bangle Pvt. Ltd. In the coming years, Bharat Takhtani and his other siblings introduced the brand, ZAR Jewels under the parent company, R.G. Bangle Pvt. Ltd, which is now one of India's leading brands in the jewellery industry.

According to India Today, Esha Deol's ex-husband, Bharat Takhtani is the director of luxury jewellery brand, ZAR Jewels. For the unversed, ZAR Jewels, under the leadership of Bharat, has transformed into a leading luxury jewellery brand which is renowned for not compromising on the quality of their products.
From a serene collection of gold bangles, vintage kadas made using laser technology, khila bangles, and kundan bangles to dazzling bracelets and gemstones, ZAR Jewels is indeed a home of exquisite jewellery.
According to media reports, Bharat Takhtani's net worth was estimated to be around the whopping sum of 20 million USD back in 2021, which if converted in INR is around Rs. 165 crore. In recent years, Bharat has become a renowned face in the business world with the success of his jewellery brand, ZAR Jewels.

As of now, the manufacturing setup has increased to 17,000 sq. feet with a staff strength of 400 people. Apart from India, Bharat Takhtani's ZAR Jewels opened a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dubai to cater to the massive Middle East market.
