Esha Deol has been hitting all the headlines in recent times, after rumours of a family feud between the Deol half-siblings came to be known. For the unversed, it all began when Esha, along with her sister, Ahana and their mom, Hema Malini gave Sunny Deol’s son, Karan Deol’s wedding a miss in June 2023. Moreover, rumours began to stir up all the more when the head of the family, Dharmendra issued a public apology to his second wife, Hema, his daughters and their extended family for missing out on the wedding. Fast forward to now, everything seems to have gotten back to normal, and proof of the same was found when Esha praised out loud for her half-brother, Sunny Deol.
In a recent interview with India Today, Esha Deol reacted to watching her half-brother, Sunny Deol’s massively successful film, Gadar 2. The diva revealed that she loved watching every bit of it and heaped praises on Sunny for his hard work and dedication to the film. She mentioned:
“I was waiting to watch the film. I knew how much Bhaiya had been shooting for it and it really meant a lot to him. And when it is doing so well, we are all equally happy for him and it is well deserved. Only Sunny Deol can do what he did in a film like Gadar 2.”

Well, it's not just Esha, but also her mommy, Hema Malini, who has been bowled over by Sunny Deol’s performance in Gadar 2. A few days back, the legendary actress could be seen coming out of a movie theatre, post watching the film. In her media byte to the awaiting paparazzi, Hema shared that the movie was every bit amazing, and highlighted how Sunny was just superb in his performance. In her words:
“Sunny is superb, Utkarsh, Anil Sharma ji's son unhone ne bhi bohut sundar acting kiya hai. Jo nayi ladki hai, woh bhi bohut acchi hai. Yeh picture dekh kar ek dum rashtra ke prati jo bhaav hone chahiye, patriotism, woh bohut hi hai."
Interestingly, in contrast to the hyped discord between the Deol half-siblings, everything has always remained pretty smooth between them right from the beginning. Proof of the same was found in one of Esha Deol’s candid revelations in her mother, Hema Malini’s biography, Beyond The Dreamgirl. In the book, Esha had revealed how she mandatorily tied Rakhi to both Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. She further mentioned how she looked up to the former as a father figure in her life.

On August 12, 2023, Esha Deol lovingly hosted a private screening of her half-brother, Sunny Deol’s film, Gadar 2. The event was attended by all the close friends and families of the Deol clan, and was also graced by Esha and Sunny’s respective siblings, Ahana and Bobby. Moreover, for the first time ever, the four half-siblings posed together for a happy picture for the awaiting shutterbugs at the event.
