Esha Deol's First Statement After Bharat Takhtani Made Relationship Official With Meghna, 'If It..'

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani got married in 2012, and it was in 2024 that they called it quits. The couple was once Bollywood's most romantic pair. Their split after more than a decade of marriage left everyone shocked to the core. While the exact reason for their split was never known, it was said that their dynamic had evolved, which led to their divorce.

While announcing this, Bharat and Esha revealed that their utmost priority would always be their two baby girls. After a year of the same, Bharat recently took to his social media handle and seemingly made his relationship official with his girlfriend, Meghna Lakhani. Now, after this, Esha revealed her current equation with her ex-husband, Bharat Takhtani. When Esha was asked about being a 'single mother', she mentioned that she doesn't like to think of herself as a 'single parent', for that matter. Revealing the reason, Esha mentioned that she neither behaves like a single parent nor lets the other person do the same. Esha can be quoted as saying:

"I don’t like to think of myself as a single mother because I don’t behave like one nor do I let the other person behave that way with me."

Esha Deol shared that the fact is that in life, due to certain circumstances, roles change, and if two people don't work out in a previously established equation, then when they have children, those individuals must take it upon themselves to work out in different dynamics, but keeping the unit together for their children, and that's what Bharat and she have been doing. Esha revealed:

"It’s just that in life, sometimes, due to certain things, roles change. And if it doesn’t work out in a certain equation of what two people were at one point, you must take it upon you, especially when you have children, the two mature individuals must take it upon them to work out in another dynamic but keep the unit together for the sake of the children. And that’s exactly what Bharat and I do."

For those who don't know, Bharat and Esha met each other during their school years. It was Esha who gave her phone number to Bharat. Soon after, they started dating and eventually broke up. Later on, Bharat remained in contact with Esha's sister, Ahana, who provided him with information about the actress's trip to the US. Bharat went to meet Esha, and their romance got re-ignited. They got married in 2012, and in 2017, they welcomed their first kid, followed by their second kid in 2019.

It was a week ago, on August 30, 2025, when Bharat Takhtani took to his Instagram handle and shared a mushy photo with entrepreneur Meghna Lakhani. In the photo, he welcomed Meghna into his family, while she also dropped a photo with him from Madrid, Spain, mentioning that's where their relationship began. Following this, Bharat sparked his marriage buzz with Meghna as he dropped a photo of himself from the washroom, while tagging Meghna as 'better half'.

Bharat also posted a photo of Meghna and him along with their Dubai family. While little is known about their relationship, the posts Bharat has posted have already sparked enough gossip. For the uninitiated, Meghna is an entrepreneur with 15 years of global experience, and she is passionate about sustainability, as she has dreamed of making the world a better place since childhood.
